$1.8 Million Spent on Virtual Reality Game for Gays

The country plunges ever deeper into debt that appears likely to destroy us. Meanwhile, the federal government is spending $1,788,748 on a virtual reality game for homosexuals:

“Tough Talks” is a virtual simulation that allows young gay men to practice how to tell their partner they have HIV, using virtual reality technology. A technology training company—Georgia-based Virtually Better, Inc.—as well as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Southern California Institute for Creative Technologies are creating the game.

Academia usually finds a way to get in on the looting spree that is federal funding.

The majority of homosexuals do not tell new sex partners that they are carrying deadly HIV. That’s why their lifestyle has been so effective in spreading the virus that causes AIDS.

If a video game could put a stop to this, it would be well worth the money. HIV/AIDS is said to account for “the largest amount of funding given to a single disease in history.” But as with most government-funded initiatives, whether this has any effect other than to dig us deeper into debt is doubtful.
