Beto Desperately Channels AOC

Not being homosexual, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke has lost ground to the comparably unqualified Peter Buttwhatever. Time to reach into Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s bag of tricks for something to rev up Democrat Party’s lunatic base:

O’Rourke sounded the alarms on Monday, saying that civilization has only “ten years” left to address climate change.

That one-ups AOC, who squeaks that we have 12 years. If Mayor Pete is smart, he will regain the initiative by proclaiming that we only have 8 years.

Beto is running for president, so he has to temper his radicalism with moderation. Instead of flushing an estimated $93 trillion down the drain in a pointless attempt to stop the climate from fluctuating as AOC wants to do with her Khmer Rouge–style Green New Deal, Robert Francis proposes something more reasonable:

The former Texas congressman unveiled the first major policy proposal of his candidacy, which is a climate change initiative that would cost $5 trillion in over 10 years in hopes of reaching zero carbon emissions by 2050.

We are already $22+ trillion in debt; what’s another $5 trillion if it helps the guy with the skateboard get elected?
