Applied Liberal Rhetoric

The rhetoric spewed by leftist authorities has real-world consequences, even when it is never imposed as law. Lately, congresscritters have been discussing slavery reparations, as if the $trillions flushed down the welfare state were not already more than enough. They know that no reparations bill is likely to pass so long as blacks make up only 13% of the population. The idea is to gin up their base. Looks like this works:

A black parolee arrested for raping and bashing a white woman on the roof of his Bronx apartment building allegedly told a witness that she “deserved” the brutal attack because of slavery, according to court papers.

“She was a white girl. She deserved it because us minorities have been through slavery,” Temar Bishop, 23, allegedly said to someone who witnessed the bloodied 20-year-old woman after the assaults, according to a criminal complaint.

He beat her unconscious in addition to raping her because that is what he has been told the slave masters used to do.

The odds that his victim ever owned any slaves are about the same as the odds that Temar knows slavery existed throughout the world from prehistoric times until the British empire all but stamped it out. Everyone has ancestors who were slaves.

If anyone is owed racial reparations, it is whites. We don’t need to go back centuries to find grievances. We are physically assaulted on a daily basis because of our race right now. At this very moment, the cities we have built are being reduced to Mad Max hellscapes. In addition, we are taxed into the ground so that the government can breed more of the same through the welfare state.
