The body would have been being wheeled into the hospital and he was still being worked by EMS at that point. Bodies are only covered on scene if announced dead and not transported. If transported they won’t be pronounced dead until in the hospital. “No one dies in an ambulance” as the saying goes. Other than a death on scene bodies aren’t covered with a sheet because the weight of the sheet will flatten the person’s nose. I worked as a nationally registered paramedic and EMT for 22 years. I’ve transported many in both situations, bodies from extended care facilities as well as cardiac arrest. If it is a body haul, they are placed in a bag or covered and then the face is uncovered at the funeral home, but if transported to a hospital, they are worked all the way to the facility as if they are still viable and aren’t pronounced dead until at the hospital and life saving measures are called by the doctor. That being said, it is still a very suspicious event. 🇺🇸
