SIX Facts You Need to Know About Abdul Alani

Abdul Majeed Maorouf Ahmed Alani is an American Airlines mechanic at Miami Airport. He has been arrested and charged with tampering with a plane’s navigation system prior to its takeoff. The problem was detected before the plane left. Alani has reportedly confessed to the crime and stated that that he wanted to crate a situation where he could earn some overtime pay and that he was also upset about the lack of progress in contract negotiation between the airline and terrorist, er, airline mechanics  union. That, supposedly, was his motive. He said that he never intended to hurt anybody.

Heavy.com has posted its “Abdul Alkani: 5 Fast Facts you need to know”. They should have entitled it, “6 facts….”

What Heavy.com left out: I’m sorry, but when some guy named Abdul Majeed Ahmed Alani is caught tampering with a passenger jet’s navigation system, I’m not buying his explanation as to motive. I realize that my opinion does not constitute evidence, and if investigators are going to try and show a terrorist motive, they will need more information.I just hope they are doing the appropriate investigation and scouring this guy’s computer, social media etc. before simply accepting his explanation and .telling us there is nothing here and to move along.
