Center Cannot Hold in New York and Philadelphia

Normally, the liberal establishment is safe within its ivory towers from the societal consequences of its ideology. But sometimes there are exceptions — like John Sullivan, a technical director for NBCUniversal affiliate Plaza Productions who has worked on such progressive favorites as NBC Nightly News and Saturday Night Live.

Via the New York Daily News:

Sullivan, 72, had just gotten off the train at Sixth Ave. near W. 43rd St. about 2:20 a.m. Monday and was heading to 30 Rockefeller Center when nine people in their early 20s suddenly blocked his path.

Even if they were in their 20s, it is surprising the assailants were not described as “teens.” That’s what the media usually calls hooligans and sociopaths who look like this.

They taunted Sullivan, making “boo” noises, dancing around him, pointing their fingers in his face. Then they beat his face black and blue. Robbery was not a motive.

Sullivan can count himself lucky that he didn’t fall victim to a larger group, like the mob of “200 juveniles” that ran riot in Philadelphia on Monday night:

According to police, the juveniles left the Rolling Thunder Skating Rink in the city’s Castor section before heading out on Roosevelt Boulevard.

Police say several businesses were closed down due to the crowds.

Unusually, arrests were actually made, “one for vandalism and three for disorderly conduct.”

If you think it’s scary out there now, wait for the inevitable day when there are so many of them that Big Government can no longer afford to charge up their EBT cards.
