Celebrating MLK Day - Sad Time In America

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Dr. Martin Luther King used non violent protests and inspiring oratory to advance the civil rights of Blacks and other minorities.  King brought attention to the Jim Crow laws in the South, to legalize segregation put in place by the Democrats that controlled those states after Reconstruction in 1886.  The notion of “separate but equal” was the law of the land in the South actually enforced by the courts.  Of course, there was never any “equal”.  There was instead horrendous discrimination requiring Blacks to sit in the back of the bus and to endure the White’s Only signs in restaurants, rest rooms, schools etc.  Of course, there were no voting rights.  And, if Blacks disobeyed, they often were lynched by the Klan to make an example of trouble makers.

While the South legalized discrimination and segregation, the same was alive and well in other states where Blacks experienced discrimination and segregation, as well.  Prejudice in other states, while not necessarily enforced by law was in fact occurring across the country.  The Klan was not just active in the South.  The Klan was active all over the country.  By impacting the conscious of the country, Dr. King motivated the Civil Right Act of 1965 and other laws to finally end Jim Crow officially.  But even so, there were race riots all over the country in inner cities of the United States in the late 60′s as Blacks took to the streets to fight for their rights.  While this brought attention to their plight, it was disastrous for them because they burned down the very businesses in their communities many of which never returned.   These were the businesses that provided what few jobs there were in the Black ghettoes.  The riots made conditions worse not better.

In any case, Dr. King was an inspiration the likes of whom we have not seen since he was assassinated in 1968.  King was the American Gandhi.  Sadly, if he were alive today, while there has been tremendous progress for Blacks, it would be hard to imagine he would be pleased with the scene we have in the United States in 2021.  25,000 National Guard troops are protecting our Capitol Building to insure safety during a presidential inauguration.  In the last year, in addition to the attack on the Capitol, we have seen more than 275 riots involving looting and burning down our cities by Antifa and BLM.  Again, the businesses providing jobs are gone.

7 out of 10 Black babies are now born out of wedlock.  And, of the million or more abortions every year about 25% murder Black babies.  Things are not so good for others either.  5 out of 10 Hispanic and 4 out of 10 White babies are also born out of wedlock.  The destruction of the traditional family generally leads to poverty. In fact, the poverty rate in the United States is higher today than when Dr. King was fighting to help the poor.  Income inequality is real; but it impacts more Whites in real numbers than Blacks.  Black on Black crime kills far more Blacks every year than are killed by cops.  Matter of fact, more Whites in real numbers are killed by cops every year than Blacks.

The corruption we see in the DC Swamp is real.  We can’t trust our government to tell us the truth.  The IRS, CIA, DOJ and FBI have all been compromised.  Fake News is propaganda rather than real journalism.  The 100 largest global companies headquartered in the US control 50% of our GDP, which is just too much power in too few hands.  What we have now is an oligarchy of Big Government and Big Business controlling our country.  Our Democracy is dead.  We must even question election integrity because voter fraud is real.

We are facing censorship in the United States like nothing we have ever seen before.  Big Tech and Big Business are imposing politically correct ideology on our people.  Big Brother is here.  It is doubtful that if Dr. King was trying to get his message across today, he may have been censored for inspiring violence.  While we absolutely should honor Dr. King as an American hero, it is a very sad and dangerous time in America.
