Executive Order Suspends Fundamental Rights

Whatever Democrats seem to be doing, what they are actually doing is even worse. Bad enough that Biden’s handlers have been picking a fight with Russia, whose help we need to contain the real threat, communist China. On Big Government Day (April 15), Biden signed an executive order entitled, “Executive Order on Blocking Property With Respect to Specified Harmful Foreign Activities of the Government of the Russian Federation.” It is designed to deprive American citizens of fundamental rights by linking them, however tenuously, with Russia.

The media used this strategy against Trump for years. It didn’t work, but with socialists, that is never a reason to stop trying.

Just as its support for Black Lives Matter rioters is not really about blacks, the Democrat Party’s hostility toward post-communist Russia is not really about Russia. The issue is never the issue. The issue is always power.

The act punishes anyone who engages in “malicious cyber-enabled activities,” “interference in a United States or other foreign government election,” “actions or policies that undermine democratic processes or institutions in the United States or abroad,” et cetera “on behalf of, or for the benefit of, directly or indirectly” the Russian Government.

Like everything else coming out of the Left, it may sound okay, but only until you think it over carefully, like they have done at American Thinker:

It criminalizes speech and political activities, based on whimsical and arbitrary definitions. The Biden administration can define “malicious activities,” “democratic processes or institutions,” and the activities that undermine them as it wants.

The Biden administration is also free to interpret what constitutes “interests of the Russian Government.” Such broad and vague language allows the Biden regime to select US citizens and political organizations arbitrarily, and then deprive them of their property and rights without anything reminiscent of due process. …

This EO effectively gives Big Tech, banks, and credit card companies a new pretext to deplatform conservatives and anyone else who opposes the Biden regime by claiming that they are now engaged in illegal activity.

Saying anything online that might be construed by moonbats as indirectly benefitting Russia is now criminal. Criticizing Biden in any way benefits Russia, considering that he has been rattling his sword at it.

The children and spouses of anyone accused of violating the EO are targeted, as are other associations.

Those penalized through the act for their thought crimes are designated as “Deprived Persons.” Those associated with a Deprived Person can also be named as a Deprived Person. This may have been inspired by North Korea and similar regimes where they go after not only dissidents, but anyone who might have been friendly with the dissident.

As for those who might be associated with the associates of a Deprived Person, American Thinker notes,

There is no limit to the number of iterations.

A Deprived Person is an untouchable. The EO forbids

the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any person whose property and interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order[.]

It is now a crime to sell groceries or even render medical aid to someone said to have made a remark online that might indirectly benefit Russia. The same goes for providing web services or legal representation. Intent and knowledge are explicitly dismissed as irrelevant.

Any person or business wanting to avoid Deprived status needs to be very sure to have nothing whatsoever to do with anyone already deemed Deprived.

As should be obvious by now, Joe Biden is an extremely bad guy. His handlers are, if possible, even worse.

Those running the complicit media are no better. That’s why this EO, which essentially declares that the USA is officially no longer a free country, is not considered important news.

The more power the radicalized Democrat Party is able to seize over the coming months, the less likely there is to be effective pushback. We are on the fast track to true totalitarianism.
