The Bermuda high will hangout in the western Atlantic while a cutoff low tracks across the south-central United States this weekend into early next week leading to diurnally driven showers and thunderstorms. The main concern is locally heavy rainfall leading to isolated runoff issues from these slow moving, heavy rain producing storms. The Bermuda high gradually weakens middle to late next week while gulf moisture interacts with a cold front sinking south out of Canada. This will lead to continued diurnal activity middle to late next week.
General pulse thunderstorms are expected across the region today, mainly in the afternoon and evening hours. The main impacts with these thunderstorms are cloud-to-ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall.
