Hazards and Tropical Weather
Heavy rain focused near the escarpment and in embedded thunderstorms will expand across the region today and continue into Tuesday in response to a developing moist low level jet. The location of the heavier axis of rain may shift Wednesday as the low level jet exits the region and a cold front approaches from the west. The threat of flooding will ramp up late Monday into Tuesday and possibly linger into Wednesday. A strong cold front will drive much drier air into the region by Thursday, putting an end to the inclement weather.
