When an abused child becomes an adult.
They are still haunted from nightmares of the cult.
Their normal lives are far from that.
Mentally beaten in a controlled mind combat.

Physically abused yes this too.
These poor adults grew up black and blue.
Sexually assaulted their little bodies abused.
Never able to face their own accused.

Yet they do their best to live out a life.
Attempting to smile and try to love life.
Helping the less fortunate from behind the scenes.
Not wanting to be noticed by any means.

Can you imagine carrying this burden?
Nightmares still come, fainting on the floor and hurting.
Visits from unknown men threatening them to stay silent.
When all they want to do is to get violent.

Let us now pray for these adults today.
You’ll never know them standing beside you someday.
Try to imagine as you go about your day.
Yet there are many dear Lord let us pray.

Heavenly Father please watch over all these adults.
For deep inside still an innocent child cries out.
Please ease their brains no more nightmares.
Heal their precious hearts with your loving care.
Cleanse their innocent minds of memories gone astray.
And heal all the precious adults who were children prey.
Please give them a loving hug and tell them justice is there.
For their abusers who’s evil they unwillingly shared.
Please Heavenly Father I ask of you.
