Saturday Night Live Introduces Pat for Real

Remember when Saturday Night Live at least tried to be funny? There was a character named Pat. Wikipedia hasn’t memory-holed Pat yet:

Pat O’Neill Riley is an androgynous fictional character[1] created and performed by Julia Sweeney for the American sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1990–1994.[2] The character was later featured in the film It’s Pat. The central humorous aspect of sketches featuring Pat is the inability of others to determine the character’s sex.

Now that SNL consists of humorless moonbattery, Pat is no longer a joke; he/she/it is for real:

Actor and comedian Molly Kearney will become the first nonbinary cast member on “Saturday Night Live” in its upcoming 48th season.

Kearney, who is from Cleveland and uses gender-neutral pronouns, has appeared in Amazon’s “A League of Their Own” — a remake of the 1992 film that has been a huge hit with queer fans — as Fern Dannely.

Don’t you dare laugh at her/him/whatever. That would be transphobic.

Not that there is any danger of people laughing while watching SNL nowadays. Good thing it doesn’t need to be funny, so long as it is trans-inclusive.
