New York Moves to Prevent Heating Homes

If the point really were to make the climate colder, they would have no idea what they are doing — not that the climate needs to get any colder anyway, with two thirds of the country plunging into a deep freeze. Unless our rulers are literally psychotic, the actual point is to prevent us from heating our homes:

A state commission [Monday] approved plans to phase out fossil fuel-burning furnaces beginning as soon as 2025 as part of New York’s aggressive program to address climate change.

No reasonable person believes this will prevent the climate from fluctuating the way it always has and always will.

The plan adopted [Monday] by the state Climate Action Council requires energy-efficient electric heat pumps or other non-combustion heating systems in every new home built in 2025 or thereafter.

Authorities admit that the ideologically correct heating systems cost more, but claim they will save money in the long run. However, if it made sense economically, the policy would not have to be mandatory.

Even if you swallow liberal global warming dogma, for homes being heated electrically to affect the climate, the electricity would need to be generated by means that do not produce CO2 emissions. Since wind and solar are unreliable and cannot provide more than a tiny fraction of the electricity needed, that means nuclear. Yet New York closes down its nuclear plants.

For existing homes, residents whose fossil fuel-burning heating units give out after 2030 will have to replace them with a zero-emission system.

Good thing New Yorkers have plenty of money to waste installing pricier heating systems for ideological reasons, even after paying some of the highest tax rates in the country, despite the Biden economy staggering toward a severe recession and the Empire State’s wealth generators escaping to Florida as quickly as they can.

Approximately 85% of households in New York State are heated with natural gas, propane, or fuel oil. Since heating these homes by other means will require more electricity than is likely to be available, there will be blackouts.

The ultimate point is power. Some people will freeze to death in their homes because Democrats decreed it, as sacrifices to their godless religion. That’s power.
