Drier air moves in from the west today and tonight. An upper level low pressure brings colder weather late today night with snow possible across the mountains from Thursday night through Friday night. A low pressure system could affect our region early next week. General Forecast Through Friday Night

Franklin Area

Today

Areas of fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with highs in the lower 60s. Calm winds in the morning increasing to come out of the west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight

Mostly cloudy, with lows around 30. Light winds out of the southwest.

Thursday

Mostly sunny, with highs in the lower 50s. Calm winds in the morning increasing to come out of the southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Thursday Night

A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with lows in the mid 20s. Winds out of the northwest 3 to 6 mph.

Friday

A 30 percent chance of snow showers, mainly after 10am. Partly sunny, with highs near 40.
