Equality is Equality

The pendulum must swing in the other direction. Things have just gotten very out of hand. If you keep giving people freebees, they are not going to turn it down. They will keep taking it. Do it long enough and then try to stop the free flow of wealth; you will then have an insurrection on your hands (Have you seen what are happening in Greece?). People will expect it forever. Then, they think it is a right, not a privilege.

No, I say eliminate all entitlements and other gimme, freebee, and handout programs. These socialistic programs include the following:

• Medicaid
• Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC)
• Food Stamps
• Supplemental Security Income
• Lower income housing assistance
• Earned Income Tax Credit
• Veterans medical care (this should be an exception)
• Stafford loans
• Social Services (Title 20)
• Pell Grants
• Low-rent public housing
• General medical assistance
• Foster Care
• School Lunch
• Pensions for needy veterans (this should be an exception)
• General Assistance
• Head Start
• Food supplements, Women, infants and children
• Training for disadvantaged youth and adults
• Low-income energy assistance
• Rural housing loans
• Indian Health Services
• Summer youth employment
• Maternal and child health
• JOBS and WIN
• Job Corps
• Child care block grant
• School Breakfast
• Child care for AFDC
• Nutrition Program for Elderly
• Housing interest reduction
• Child and adult care food program
• “At risk” childcare

The above list shows that we are already a socialistic country. Other social programs that we should consider eliminating include social security, Obamacare, Medicare, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Extended Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits, 8(a) Program, and other such costly entitlements.

These nanny state programs just destroy the soul of humankind.  We must do away with the curse of idleness, abolish the evils of the dole, and establish among Mankind independence, industry, thrift, and self-respect. That is the way to keep America as the best country in the world. All of the aforementioned entitlements and freebees contribute to the “spread the wealth” philosophy, which is an evil approach to equality.  To keep America great, everyone must fend for himself and herself. Through personal struggle, we become stronger, better people.

Our founding fathers established the United States government for the purpose of protecting and defending our God-given unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Government should provide mainly national defense, law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical services. Over the past 230 years, the United States started from 4 services and expanded to over 35 of the above listed nanny state entitlements. They never established the government to make dependent citizens of us. Therefore, forget about quotas. Forget about all of those programs that place one ethnic group or race over another. Just make it so that the rules are fair and that everyone follows the rules. Period!
