Part 3: Overpopulation in America and Around the World—The Human Predicament

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

By Frosty Wooldridge

Part 3: Overpopulation means each one of us contributes to the deaths of 10 million children annually and 8 million adults who die from starvation or starvation related diseases. What do we do about it?  How do we change the deadly fate of billions of humans in the 21st century?

(The more human beings piled onto a finite planet, the more suffer displacement from the dinner plate. Results, more and more humans die of starvation and poverty.  Currently, 10 million children and 8 million adults die of starvation and starvation related diseases worldwide annually.)

Today, in the world, over four billion human beings do not eat enough nutrient-rich food to grow and maintain physical and intellectual health.  Around three billion humans live on $3.00  daily. Another one billion subsist on $1.00 per day.  An average of 10 million children starve to death and another eight million adults die annually from lack of food.  (Sources: Time Magazine, March 14, 2005, “How to End Poverty” and United Nations statistics on human starvation.)

At the same time, the richest two billion humans on the planet ravage the natural world for water, energy and resources at an ever-accelerating rate of speed.

Dr. Jack Alpert, Stanford University graduate, stresses human numbers colliding with carrying capacity on this finite planet.  Watch this 11-minute video for a sobering look at our choices.  www.Skil.org

http://www.skil.org/Qxtras_folder-2/overpopulationmeansImurder.html

Yes, terribly sobering!  Do we, as a cognitive species, act now, or do we wait until Mother Nature acts for us?

The green revolution was instigated as a result of the efforts of Norman Borlaug, who, while accepting the Nobel peace prize in 1970, said: “The green revolution has won a temporary success in man’s war against hunger and deprivation; it has given man a breathing space. If fully implemented, the revolution can provide sufficient food for sustenance during the next three decades. But the frightening power of human reproduction must also be curbed; otherwise the success of the green revolution will be ephemeral only.”

Dr. Alpert makes his plan simple:

My simple idea is that:

       a) the resources that support us today will soon be greatly reduced.

       b) this contraction of support means humans

will have to live in a niche which  is 1/100th of its

          present size.

No amount of reduced personal consumption.

No amount of redistribution.

No amount of technological efficiency.

No amount of careful handing of toxic waste.

Can reduce the human footprint by 99%.

As Dr. Alpert illustrates in his video, rich nations push more poor people from poor nations off the dinner plate.  The more we consume, the more we cause the death of millions who suffer displacement from the table.  The more of us at the table, the more of “them” get shoved off and die.

At 7.3 billion in 2015 and a projected 10.1 billion within 35 years by 2050, something must give.  The more of us means more scarcity, which renders more violence and human suffering for all those trying to eat and drink.

Dr. Alpert points out that all the great demographic and environmental minds in the world today stress conservation of energy, water and resources—but none speak about population stabilization and gradual decline—if the human species expects to survive the 21st century, let alone all the other creatures on this planet.

This finite biosphere can only take so much abuse. It can only provide so much water and energy. It can only offer a limited amount of resources.  It can only feed a finite number of humans, let alone the rest of creatures on this planet.

We need to make decisions.  Start the discussion today with the knowledge that you learned in this series.  Push the discussion to the highest levels.

Help everyone you know understand America’s population predicament and take action to push it to the national stage.

In a five minute astoundingly simple yet brilliant video, “Immigration, Poverty, and Gum Balls”, Roy Beck, director of www.numbersusa.ORG, graphically illustrates the impact of overpopulation.  Take five minutes to see for yourself:

“Immigration by the numbers—off the chart” by Roy Beck

This 10 minute demonstration shows Americans the results of unending mass immigration on the quality of life and sustainability for future generations: in a few words, “Mind boggling!”  www.NumbersUSA.org

Most Americans, Canadians, Europeans or Australians along with their elected leaders—fail to understand their predicament: a self-inflected victimization-date with destiny.

What you can do to start a national discussion:

Write the following media programs to interview speakers on what we face if we add another 138 million people:  Many experts can speak on this demographic nightmare:  Dave Gardner at www.Growthbusters.org ; Dr. Jack Alpert at www.skil.org ; Bromwell Ault at [email protected] ; Former Governor Richard D. Lamm of Colorado; Roy Beck director a www.NumbersUSA.org , Mr. K.C. McAlpin at www.TheSocialContract.com ; Joanne Wideman www.CapsWeb.org ; Dan Stein www.Fairus.org ; David Paxson www.worldpopulationbalance.org ; Edward C. Hartman [email protected] .  Dr. Diana Hull, www.TheSocialContract.com

Additionally, I will speak on any TV or radio show in the country with excellent articulation and acumen.  If not now, then who and when?

the earth is not overpopulated. you are spouting agenda 21/communist rhetoric. this planet can sustain 100s of billions of people but those in power are too greedy to share the wealth.

Where did you get your training in ecosystems and zoology? Should I hazard a guess, at a bench in front of Starbucks.

I can take intelligent remarks, but pure out stupidity and ignorance don’t work for me. I research and write the finest information available. I know that the USA stands to add another 300,000,000 (million) people within the next 80 years. We don’t possess the water, energy or resources for such enormous numbers. We won’t enjoy quality of life and standard of living. We’ll degrade into a third world country. But guys like the two above make super stupid remarks without doing any research and I bet a bank vault that you didn’t watch the video that would have educated you. It’s exasperating to try to deal with those suffering from cognitive dissonance. fw

Taking every person to stand in an area of six square feet, you can stand all the people in the world in one half the area of Jacksonvile, Florida, without touching one another.

All the manmade bldg.’s, cities, roads, and farms, including the farm land, comprise less than 1% of the worlds livable land surface.

We, the world, produces enough food each year to feed five times our present population. If we farmed with the same methods as German and some European Farmers we can produce enough food to feed 200 times our present population “ON THE SAME FARMLAND”. Wars, famine, natural disasters, even given, and that’s without GMO crops. In America alone families and stores throw out enough food to feed ten times or more of our population. Expiration dates on food labels and cans are for “turnover and profit” as canned goods have “proven’ to last over twenty years.

We have enough resources, to feed and house over 200 times our present population. You can move all the worlds peoples into the State of Texas, give each a home on a one acre lot and still have enough space for farms, factories and parks.

You sir are a phoney – your so called “finest” information” is nothing but environmental Marxist garbage, its a wonder that anyone would listen to your nonsense.

There is a book written, also by a researcher on this subject who has offered in the past over one million dollars to anyone that can prove that we need to limit population. So, your pure ignorance and stupidity have done you in – another “useful idiot”.

Totally agree with truthlovingsoul. Earth is not overpopulated. It is another myth and lyes the PTB, taking advantage of ppl naivete’”.The vast majority of the planet land is left empty. If ppl in the world live in misery, like in africa for example, it is due to the greed of a small group of ppl and some country colonial policies that prefer to keep these ppl down so they can be exploited. Now they decided are not useful and controllable anymore and they want to even kill them. For the planet to be fine, the only think we need is to get rid of a small percentage of ppl instead, the 1 percent, and possibly their minions too that help spread their lies. I dream to see it happen in my lifetime, but we will.

Sustainable farming NOT animal farming can feed all the people on this planet.
The wealthy abuse resources and expect the rest of us to “deal”.
We have already degraded to a third world country, nobody wants to see it.

      • Frosty Wooldridge

Nobel Laureate Dr. Henry W. Kendall said, “If we don’t halt population growth with justice and compassion, it will be done for us by nature, brutally and without pity – and will leave a ravaged world.”

“The raging monster upon the land is population growth. In its presence, sustainability is but a fragile theoretical construct. To say, as many do, that the difficulties of nations are not due to people, but to poor ideology and land-use management is sophistic.” Harvard scholar and biologist E.O. Wilson

“Unlimited population growth cannot be sustained; you cannot sustain growth in the rates of consumption of resources. No species can overrun the carrying capacity of a finite land mass. This Law cannot be repealed and is not negotiable.” Dr. Albert Bartlett, http://www.albartlett.org , University of Colorado, USA.

“Most Western elites continue urging the wealthy West not to stem the migrant tide [that adds 80 million net gain annually to the planet], but to absorb our global brothers and sisters until their horrid ordeal has been endured and shared by all—ten billion humans packed onto an ecologically devastated planet.” Dr. Otis Graham, Unguarded Gates

Lester Brown, author of Plan B 4.0 Saving Civilization said, “The world has set in motion environmental trends that are threatening civilization itself. We are crossing environmental thresholds and violating deadlines set by nature. Nature is the timekeeper, but we cannot see the clock.”

“Somehow, we have come to think the whole purpose of the economy is to grow, yet growth is not a goal or purpose. The pursuit of endless growth is suicidal.” David Suzuki

    • Frosty Wooldridge

I am dumbfounded at the level of total denial of reality in these replies. We are about to add 300,000,000 more people to the USA within 80 years, and you argue that we can add endless people like China and India and not suffer water shortages? How about when oil runs out because it’s going to run out? No other energy can duplicate oil. We cannot make water? We cannot continue poisoning our biosphere. You need to think beyond your noses. FW

      • Mayhem

Safe drinking water is an infrastructure problem, Mr Wooldridge, and if we collected more than the current 10% of rainfall there’d be no shortage. And oil works on a continuous loop, our only concern is using it faster than nature produces it.

You need to think beyond your nose, Frosty, and what do you use your brain for on your epic bicycle adventures?

    • Anonymous

Over population is a Zionist lie/myth.

    • Endtime

Some people will never get it…
It does not need high-school mathematics to be capable to understand that we are too many and that already resources are at the limit (except for the elite).
At present, the population doubles in about 30 years. At one point the earth will be FULL!
When is it half full? Only 30 years earlier…

The urgent question is how to top the growth.
Everyone should have 1/2 child, i.e., one per couple. But 1/2 simple means that you cannot have another child with a new partner. Then you have fulfilled your quota.
But people will not be clever enough to cooperate, everybody thinks: I can have more kids, what does it change if I have them? But since a majority would selfishly think like that, there can never be a solidarity about it.

So what should we do? Kill off people? OF COURSE NOT AND NEVER! We are manipulated with intentional side-effects of vaccinations, chemtrails, chemicals in food and drinks and GMO food. The main purpose is to dumb us down and make us servile. Yet ONE, and ONLY that one, intentional side-effect would be reduction of fertility.

A Swedish philosopher once wrote that we are stampeding towards the precipice… and sure we are…- the precipice is now near…

    • Cheyenne

Some food for thought for our friend Frosty from a fellow biker. Maybe if he is an honest researcher, he will realize that he is playing the role of the useful idiot for a very dark cabal right now and he will research some more…although knowledge is not substitute for wisdom or common sense.
