How Does Web3 Appeal To More Users In Today’s Age?

The internet is about to change for the better. Web3 is coming, and everyone who believes in it has already been waxing poetic about how much development and improvement it will be over the current internet landscape.

Today, we have different services that are focused on ensuring that this new iteration of the internet becomes a better alternative to what we had before. At the same time, services are launching that will help people seamlessly shift to the future of the internet. A good example is the Super Protocol, which focuses on confidentiality for Web3.

The Super Protocol combines blockchain technology with confidential computing to create a resilient cloud platform for collaboration and cloud computing. It allows easy and confidential computing, ensuring that maintains control over their data. In a world where confidentiality is getting more important, , the Super Protocol is building well for the future.

All of this is well and good. However, there’s still the marketing problem for Web3. How do we build and ensure that the people who need Web3 solutions the most actually get to find them?

The Accessibility Problem

Right now, Web3 is in its nascent stages. Products like the Super Protocol have shown just how powerful this new internet variant will be, but they’re still in infancy. And with this infancy comes an accessibility problem.

For a perfect example of this issue, look at decentralized finance (DeFi). For the past two years, DeFi has provided better financial solutions to people – but only those who know how to use it. The DeFi market has over $80 billion in total volume locked, showing that it has consistently grown and reached more people and businesses. But, there are millions more who need DeFi, and they don’t even know how to use it.

How do people in the most remote parts of the world access DeFi protocols? How do they get online and know how to convert their assets to digital assets or connect wallets to protocols? These are the issues that the market faces, and it won’t be able to fulfil its potential until it solves them.

The Web3 conundrum is similar. We have a lot of unique and awesome solutions out there, but they won’t make any sense until we find ways to make them more accessible.

So, what do we do??

It All Comes Down To Building

It might seem like playing a broken record, but the solution to this issue boils down to development. There won’t be any adoption without proper building. Instead of building products that the most learned people can use, let’s focus more on building for the most non-sophisticated of our customers.

Think about the problem of confidentiality that Web3 is trying to solve. Even with the current iteration of the internet, most learned people – if they care enough – can actually protect their identities. But, Web3 promises that they won’t need to take any extra steps to get this done. The problem is – what do we do with the people who don’t even understand how their data is being mishandled?

Developers need to focus more on functionality and accessibility. If you go to a person in a remote part of town and they can’t use what you’re building, then that is probably a sign that you’re not building well enough. And right now, there’s a gap between the products that are being built and the people who they’re being built for.

Sensitization Before Implementation

Another strategy that can help is to preempt the sensitization efforts. We know that Web3 is on its way, so why not start telling people how it will benefit them from now on?

Today, many products tend to take this path. They get a proof of concept, attract funding, and begin marketing efforts to get their names out there. It’s no longer about waiting till you build something and have it ready for the market. Once it becomes obvious that your idea can be developed and built out, you can begin telling people about what you’re building.

Web3 can embrace this same strategy. We understand that the future of the internet can be built and is on its way. So, let’s begin getting the word out there that there’s something coming. Build the excitement, and people will be trooping to find out more about how they can benefit from it.

Focusing on Children And Grassroots

For all the benefits that Web3 will bring, it is worth noting that it won’t be here for at least another decade – perhaps even much longer. By the time Web3 is here, the children of today would be youths and the most vibrant population among us. So, it goes without saying that a lot of sensitization efforts should focus on them.

As we teach more people about what Web3 will do for them, it’s critical to bring kids into the conversation as well. Let them see the solutions that we’re bringing, and they’ll run with them. These children will also help with grassroots outreach – talking to their friends, their parents, teachers, and more about how Web3 products will benefit them in the long run.

The world is currently switching to a new age where we interact with technology in a much different way. However, it won’t make much sense if the people who could benefit from Web3 solutions the most don’t even know how to use them. Now is the time to start building and getting the word out.
