"America" Riverboat With Curve Service!

Yesterday, the “America” riverboat showed up at our waterfront for a half-a-day of touring our historic civil war town of Vicksburg, MS. This picture was taken from Catfish Row Children’s Art Park.

“America” is a BIG riverboat!

Met an artist/banjo player from “America” by the name of Dan Knowles.

Dan was painting his art work at the waterfront and asked him if I could take a picture of them. We struck up a conversation and found out that he works for the American Queen Steamboat Company playing the banjo on the riverboats. I told him how much I enjoy coming down to our waterfront to take pictures of the riverboats and posting them on Facebook. We talked about being friends on social media and now we are! A really nice gentleman and very talented playing his banjo in a band rolling up and down the Mighty Mississippi River!

A mother, stepmother, grandmother and great grandmother who was taught deer hunting by my second husband, Bob, in my mid-forties. I’m still hunting today and loving it!
