SYZYGY

Back before the Christmas Holiday in 2015, I was alerted to the fact that a freak asteroid wound up being spotted within 40,000 miles of Earth. The detection happened so fast that most major news organizations were unable to gather enough information to warn us if the space rock was going to hit us or maybe take out a couple of satellites.

Somehow, this space rock slipped through the cracks and very well could have destroyed satellites and create all kinds of problems for Earth if it were to have had perturbations in its trajectory.

You might think that, so long as Earth can successfully dodge the paths of rogue asteroids and comets that hurtle our way, it will always be a smooth, unimpeded sailing in our annual orbit around the Sun.

However, three years ago, we realized just how vulnerable we are when planet Earth just happened to align with a small asteroid that had the potential of killing thousands of people near the Ural Mountains.

Three years ago this month while I was on the air, there was an earthquake that was reported in Russia. It was first heard before it was ever felt. The sound that was heard was a low vibration that eventually became a low rumble. The earthquake was moderate and preceded the asteroid that flashed across the sky over Chelyabinsk.

Through some unlucky syzygy, the Earth was actually getting a close cosmic shave on the same day as a doomsday asteroid called “2012 DA14” came within 17,200 miles of Earth – a miraculous feat that according to CNN had a “1 in 100 million” chance of happening.

Just prior to these Earthly encounters with the mathematically impossible asteroids, an overabundance of asteroid terror propaganda was published, emphatically stating that an asteroid strike on Earth could be in our imminent future. There were also suspicious asteroids which allegedly passed by Earth just prior to and immediately after the two aforementioned asteroids on February 15, 2013.

Fireballs were being reported worldwide and huge booms were also heard thundering and humming frightening people into thinking it was the end times.

On February 27th, 2013 from Tucson, Arizona to San Diego, California, a strange group of lights were seen falling from the sky. As they were seen in the sky, residents reported that there was a low vibration that rattled windows and then three to four booms thundered through the area.

We reported these stories even though they did not appear on the radar of the mainstream they most certainly were reported along with the story where NASA finally admitted there are many Apollo class asteroids lurking in places where they cannot always be seen and many times they have to rely on amateur astronomers to get the word out. By then, it may be too late.

There are also the close calls that go unreported as well.

For example, I was shocked to find out that at the beginning of this month, Earth was actually hit by a potentially dangerous space rock.

On Feb. 6, 2016, a chunk of what has been called interplanetary material plunged into Earth’s atmosphere and exploded about 19 miles above the Atlantic Ocean. It was moving at over 9.6 miles per second. It had a diameter of 23 feet and the energy released was equivalent to the detonation of 13,000 tons of TNT, making this the largest such event since the Chelyabinsk blast in February 2013. The explosion was much larger than the explosion seen at Hiroshima during the atomic blast at the end of World War II.

The report and information on the event were given to NASA by the U.S. Government. Detecting atmospheric explosions is most likely a high priority of several branches of the U.S. military, so a fireball of such magnitude could have been easily picked up. Satellite imagery and infrasound atmospheric microphones could both be used to detect an impact like this.

Now, I have always wondered about the sounds that are made by the disintegration of these space rocks and whether or not these sounds can be linked to the strange trumpeting sounds that have been heard all over the world.

I shudder to think that what these sounds could be are rumblings or even the vibratory hum of space wind from rocks that don’t burn up but are constantly passing close to the Earth.

Not all near Earth rocks are accounted for, and if one just happens to be hundreds or thousands of miles up – could it possibly send a gravitic or magnetic wave in our direction that could cause a resonant hum or even the sound of what we think are angelic trumpets?

We may barely notice a bit of space wind as large masses pass overhead without fair warning from NASA on the mainstream news, but we may be able to hear sky quakes that are generated by these masses and sometimes we find out on Twitter that something passed overhead which was the size of a cross-town bus or one that is the spitting image of that rock in Gibraltar.

These are Earth crossing asteroids that are just a little shy of becoming “Potentially Hazardous Asteroids.” While Potentially Hazardous Asteroids can be classified as such without even hitting the Earth, the potential of doing so is far greater and the asteroid cannot come any closer; if it does, then we have a major problem.

Potentially Hazardous Asteroids are currently defined based on parameters based on the asteroid’s potential to make an absolute threatening close approach to the Earth. To be specific, this means all asteroids with an Earth Minimum Orbit Intersection Distance of 4,650,000 miles.

That is considered a close cosmic shave. Then, there are the so-called sweeper rocks that wind up being pushed into Earth’s trajectory by even bigger comets of meteors that don’t even come close to Earth.

NASA claimed that Chelyabinsk incident had nothing to do with the asteroid they were tracking that came close to planet Earth the same day.

I would question that claim, but of course who would be so bold as to question the space agency that always seems to be far more interested in calling everything they don’t bless as pseudo science and yet enjoys painting a future of doom because of climate change.

That is why a theory in which these strange sounds in the heavens are simply resonant songs provided by pieces of interplanetary material is so compelling.

We can even call it, Cosmic Rock Music.

The so-called music is mostly booms from the star striking percussion session, and the moans are usually heard from the galactic horn section. The rest can be heard as shrills or even angelic singing.

Many are claiming that these sounds are quite possibly the sound of 7 trumpets from the bible indicating that no matter what scientific explanation s given, the Bible clearly points out that these sounds are a sign of the end times.

The most interesting thing about that hypothesis is that when these trumpets are supposed to sound, they are followed by pillars or fire from the sky, heavenly signs and wonders and in the case of the 5th trumpet, a star falls from the sky.

When meteors, comets or even asteroids enter the inner solar system, they heat up, develop tails, and they may be even creating trumpeting sounds in the sky.

We only pay attention when something flares up or explodes, but we may never even think about how small pieces of the original rock, often multiple kilometers in diameter, break off with each pass around the Moon, Earth and Sun. And each time the Earth crosses the path of that orbit, the potential for a meteor shower is there, and perhaps the rumbling moaning of the sky.

During a sky fall, a meteorite presents an incredible show. Sometimes falls are also accompanied by weird sounds such as whistling, popping, booming, rumbling, humming, and a roar. These sounds result from the meteor’s high velocity which may attain the ‘sonic boom’ speed with its associated ground shaking or windows rattling.

Meteors obviously release electromagnetic radiation in the visible portion of the spectrum, but the fact that they also release very low frequency (VLF) radio waves, below 30 kilohertz, is less known and less studied.

Because these VLF radio waves travel at the speed of light not at the speed of sound, they arrive at the same time observers see a meteor passing overhead.

What about the ones we don’t see, and what about the idea that what we hear in the sky is the sound of a larger mass that has moved over head long before the sounds are heard?

One of the other anomalies that have been reported with these sounds is that people now smell an inexplicable scent of sulfur.

In the Summer of 2011, there were many people that not only heard strange trumpeting sounds in the sky, but they also smelled a strange smell that they claim was either ozone or sulfur.

From Las Vegas, to Nebraska, there were reports of a sulfur smell. A Washington Post article also said that there was a distinct odor of sulfur on the Potomac River and the smell was reported in Foggy Bottom and Georgetown as well as along the Southwest Waterfront, in park areas near the river, and in Anacostia.

While some believe they are tied to seismic releases of gas, others say that it may be linked to the space rocks leaving behind a trail of gasses while it burns up.

Recently, there have been yet again stories about strange sounds being heard in the sky and also a story about the Apollo 10 astronauts hearing “space music” as they orbited over the far side of the Moon.

The sound began once the capsule was on an hour-long trip around the far side of the Moon, out of the range of any Earth broadcast. At one point the baffled astronauts can be heard discussing whether they should tell NASA command or not.

The sounds lasted almost the whole hour that the capsule was on the far side of the Moon, and back on Earth the recording was shelved by NASA until 2008, when it was declassified.

The sound is similar to what is picked up by infrasound microphones and what is now heard in the skies today.

Meanwhile, a strange anomalous sound has been heard in Forest Grove, Oregon. The sound has kept people awake and has the town baffled. The story has now made the mainstream news.

The Oregonian newspaper reports that for some time now, a weird, metallic, whistling shriek has split the night in parts of Forest Grove, putting many residents’ nerves on edge and driving pets that hear it, “crazy.” But the worst part about strange racket is that no one can really put their finger on what’s causing it.

And just off the Oregon coast, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) still don’t know where the whistle over the Pacific Ocean originates—this whistle has been heard from time to time and scientists speculate that it could be the sound of a small underwater volcano.

The question is whether or not the sounds are connected.

There will be a way to test the theory of the sounds being connected to rocks in the sky after March 5th, 2016.

A 30-meter wide asteroid will be passing Earth so close that we might be able to see it in the sky, NASA has announced. And it might even hit Earth at some point in 2017.

2013 TX68 will either pass as close as 11,000 miles away Earth. Just for comparison – the moon is approximately 250,000 miles away.

There is a 1 in 250 million chance it’ll come crashing down to Earth in 2017.

What would happen in such a case? Well, NASA predicts that 2013 TX68 will produce an air burst of about twice the energy of the Chelyabinsk event.

It won’t cause an extinction level event, but hopefully the airburst will be over the ocean.

2013 TX68 will be seen mostly during the daytime, which makes monitoring it rather difficult. The question is whether or not we will have a repeat performance of the rock that hit the Atlantic or the one that exploded over Russia.

In the meantime, keep your ear to the skies.
