Taco Supreme Tuesday

TACO SUPREME TUESDAY

There are a lot of things America is divided over and the media has seen fit to remind us that we differ on all things; from sexual orientation, to religion and of course the thing we can’t escape from the mainstream news cycle – politics.

I have reported on this show that I wish there could be a common goal we Americans could strive for or something we can agree upon.

Well fundamentally, I can always go back to what I read a few days ago about the climate of trust in this country which is relatively low. We have seen truth, loyalty and trust in this country sink because of divisive agendas we seem to be easily duped into falling for.

It is unfortunate that people can easily by powerful people to forfeit their individuality in order to join up with the political hive mind to demonstrate what is called, political purity.

What I would like to do is to propose a few things you may or may not agree with, however, I want you to keep in mind the reason why you are here listening to this program is that you are prone to eavesdrop on the latest conspiracy theory.

Everybody likes a good conspiracy theory.

Everybody wants to believe they are in on the secrets and that people are conspiring in order for big events to transpire.

Well, big things may be happening and when they do go down there will plenty of stale manure ready to hit the fan and you better hope it doesn’t end up all over you.

I want to begin by saying I have found something I hope everyone agrees on; in fact, according to a poll conducted by Real Clear Politics, about 60 percent of those listening will agree that America does not like their government.

Sixty three percent of all Americans believe the country is heading in the wrong direction and only twenty eight percent of all Americans believe that the country is heading in the right direction.

However, the solutions to the country’s ills have put many people at odds with one another. Now, one would think the division would only be between the conservatives and liberals.

It is quite obvious there is plenty of division in the GOP itself and this is where the great conspiracy theory begins.

There have been an onslaught or well-known liberals that have said if Donald Trump or Ted Cruz becomes President, they will leave the country. However, there are many conservatives fighting among themselves as to who will represent them in the general election for President.

For me, I noticed something that made me feel a chilling sense of anxiety and that was seeing both Barbara Bush and George Herbert Walker Bush at the Texas debates. I wondered why they would be there after Jeb had publicly announced he was dropping out of the running.

On CNN, the camera shot showed Barbara and George watching from their seats. When the crowd saw the Bushes they applauded. Then George did something bizarre and that is, he did a hand gesture that appeared to be a throat slashing.

Now at first I was thinking that he did it to the crowd to get them to stop clapping and then I wondered if Bush was doing it at Donald Trump to show his disdain for him.

I wasn’t the only one who noticed it.

Suddenly, there were all sorts of theories that Bush did it as a Masonic gesture to Trump meaning that he is being singled out, or that it was done to indicate his disapproval of Trump because he bullied Jeb from the race. There were all sorts of theories as to why he did it. The apologists are saying it meant nothing, but the more you dig the more an intriguing conspiracy theory is taking shape.

The simplest and least threatening theory is the reason why Bush did the gesture is George and others are dissatisfied with all of the candidates in the GOP – especially Donald Trump.

“#NeverTrump” has been trending on Twitter and there are many conservatives in the group who have been saying they feel that Trump does not represent their views, in fact, they are appalled, repulsed, afraid and dismayed their party could have let Trump get this far.

They wrote in the strongest possible language, and many were adamant they would not stay home on election day, but in fact, would vote for Hillary Clinton in the general and perhaps leave the Republican party for good.

So as this conspiracy theory is shaping up, we are now learning that within the GOP, there is no national consensus about what should be done.

Those who support Donald Trump or Ted Cruz want to take us in a more conservative direction. But even among Republicans, there is a sizable divide over how to fix this country.

Now if you are a good conspiracy theorist or even if you like a good conspiracy theory, you will assume for the sake of a good solid story that we don’t choose our candidates, but the establishment chooses them.

When the establishment is merely tolerating the front runners, but have no faith in them there are many things to consider.

The establishment within the GOP will do everything and anything to keep Hillary Clinton from being the President, and they are faced with the truth that among liberals Hillary is said to not be liberal enough and poses a threat to the GOP and many of their disenfranchised voter base.

According to the New York Times, The global elite gathered in Davos, Switzerland and expressed how displeased they were with Trump.

“Unbelievable,” “embarrassing” and even “dangerous” are some of the words the financial elite used to describe him.

But while they have harsh things to say about Trump, Cruz is also a candidate they don’t like.

Establishment Republicans greatly dislike both Trump and Cruz, and they are quite determined to do whatever it takes to keep either of them from getting the nomination. The elite have grown very accustomed to anointing the nominee from each party every four years, and so the popularity of Trump and Cruz is making them quite uneasy this time around.

Always remember a good conspiracy theorist or those who dabble in conspiracy talk always say the voters have no say, the polls mean nothing and shady deals made in smoky Swiss hotel rooms are the cliché spot to select a candidate that pleases the elite establishment.

It’s times like these where we can invoke the Bohemian Grove and the Bilderberg meetings and now elite meetings in Davos, as places where these intriguing and treacherous villains of the cabal select the real candidates that will be in the running.

It is funny that this type of conspiracy talk has been kept in hushed tones which simply have been drowned out by the vocal undying support of brainwashed masses who have forgotten how the house always wins and that Super Tuesday is simply the equivalent of Taco Supreme Tuesday, where cheap rhetoric is consumed like cheap tacos at a border town bar.

The truth is that the Republican party is at war with itself. Just this morning, I was listening to my favorite morning talk show and they were saying they were completely baffled as to why there isn’t an agreement among other conservative talk show hosts as to who their candidate should be and which candidate best represents the GOP.

From the hollow slogans of making “America Great Again,” to “Taking back America” – both Trump and Cruz have different visions of the future and the establishment wing wants nothing to do with either candidate.

I had a discussion about this with my roommate Roger this morning and I said many people are assuming that since Trump has a lead in the polls, he will most certainly get the nomination, however, the conspiracy theory brewing is indicating that you shouldn’t place any bets on the outcome of this election, just yet.

Remember, if you are a thinker and a true conspiracy theory believer, you have to concede that the left wing and the right wing enable the bird of despotism to fly high and drop this nation right into the toilet.

The elite will move more than heaven and earth to make sure that the candidate they want takes the helm of the presidency. They will either rig it for the dynasty darling of Hillary or a suitable candidate that can appear through what is called, a brokered convention.

Currently, Trump, Cruz, and Rubio are the party’s national front-runners. The large field behind them, however, makes it possible that no one will emerge with a lead sizable enough to win on the first ballot. If that happens, we will have a contested convention and possibly a brokered nominee.

It would be all about how the nominee is chosen rather than the actual nominee. If this happens, it would be a political nightmare. Almost 85 percent of Americans were not yet born the last time either party had such a contest.

For Democrats, that was in 1952 when it took three ballots to nominate Illinois Governor Adlai Stevenson. The GOP’s last multi-ballot convention occurred four years earlier in 1948. New York Governor Thomas Dewey won that one, also after three ballots.

Since 1952, no convention has gone beyond the first ballot.

For people who aren’t aware that this can be done, it will come as a shock and might even spark more conspiracy theories about a rigged election. This will divide the people even more and aggravate the people who have in their gullibility stood behind populist and authoritarian candidates that have beat out the candidates favored by the establishment elite.

Now keep in mind, so far this is only a conspiracy theory, albeit a conspiracy theory that may have some legs.

According to an article published in Utah’s Deseret News, there has been a rumor behind the scenes of a candidate ready to swoop down on the convention floor to save the day.

I’ll bet you can guess who that candidate is.

Lately, we have been hearing a lot from Mitt Romney about everything from possible taxes not being reported by Trump, to picking at Trump for not rebuking the endorsement of David Duke and the KKK.

Romney Tweeted to Trump the following, he said: “A disqualifying & disgusting response by @realDonaldTrump to the KKK. His coddling of repugnant bigotry is not in the character of America.”

This prompted another tweet from the Conservative Vine, stating:“You are attacking Donald Trump harder than you attacked Obama. Wait a minute, you never attacked Obama.”

Doesn’t anyone find it just a little odd that a man who decided not to run for the presidency in 2016 is now becoming that “go to” man for attacks against Trump?

Can anyone now see or even want to speculate there is a conspiracy brewing to change the race and reintroduce Romney into the running?

Can you imagine the risk that would be and can you even fathom what kind of irreparable rift that would cause in the GOP?

He seems to be very vocal all of a sudden and there are a lot of people that would see him as a savior of the GOP, so the question is would it be a blessing or a disaster and is it all just an outrageous conspiracy theory that Mitt Romney even has a chance of just walking in and taking the nomination from both Cruz and Trump?

Now if it does happen, how will the conservatives handle an even greater division and the stealing of an election?

If the people want Trump, then they should have Trump, right?

Now observing more of a conspiratorial action that could be planned wouldn’t a rift in the party cause an all out feud that could very well be a reason to suspend the election, enabling another conspiracy theory to happen?

It is all just conspiracy theory right?

Have a happy taco Tuesday.
