Focus the breathing through the nostrils, remain calm and relaxed. Allow the consciousness to come to a state of absolute quiet and serenity. Hold onto that state. Do not be too distracted by visualizations, sensations, feelings etc., rather, allow the “drifting” to continue as if you were driving a car.

Do not stress the consciousness if a thought arises, simply refrain from giving the thought energy and allow it to pass through without any deeper concentration / effort.

Remember, the aim is the quiet.

Listen to the innermost teacher and may its impulses of wisdom guide you.
