For most of my life I have found the company of ghosts to be of comfort. Perhaps I am lucky that I have not been pursued by a scratching, loathsome poltergeist or made to feel that I cannot breathe by a desperate specter. And maybe luck has nothing to do with it. Maybe these experiences are just around the paranormal corner, waiting patiently for their turn to have me in the night.
