The most recent cover-up story of a giant, under the pretext of been a ‘legend’ has been done in the Vatican by Antipope “Saint”John-Paul II, when he demoted St. Christopher from the cannon of the RCC saints.
The so called ‘legend’ comes from the Greek Orthodox tradition. It is the Story of Reprobus, a giant who desired to serve “the most powerful king of the earth”. He served a powerful king at his court, and the king was delighted to have such a strong servant. Reprobus left the devil and his horde at once, and search for the Christ. The problem was that he could not find the Christ, so he went on the mountain to consult with the wise man. The wise man told him to pray and do penance. Reprobus did not understand, but the wise man, because he was wise, understood who he was dealing with, so he took Reprobus at the foot of the mountain, where there was a river. He told: “Many pilgrim have drowned crossing this river. If you want to serve Christ, you will help those poor people”. So Reprobus built a little hut by the river bank, and helped the pilgrims day and night.
One night, as he was exhausted, he was awaken by a little child. He took the little child on his large shoulders, but as he was at mid-way, the flow of the river rose, and the weight of the child became very heavy.
