VPN’s or Virtual Private Networks are being BANNED all over the world. China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and if something ISN’T DONE NOW to stop it, we could be looking at the same style of censorship here in America.
For example, China has decided to crack down on VPN users and ban them because they want ultimate control of their people. VPN’s allowed the citizens of China to see things the government doesn’t approve of like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and multiple other websites. This is a complete and utter obliteration of the human right to freedom and it is now being controlled by a communist leftist regime.
Additionally, on November 1, 2017, Russia decided to follow suit with China, and remove the rights of their citizens to ‘surf the internet without government oversight.’
Let’s be frank, the U.S. government is already ILLEGALLY spying on us via the NSA and the CIA. It’s time to stand against this illegal corruption. To stand against the illegal actions of the U.S. government to continue to infringe on our freedoms.

I have defended “Lisa” on the VPN argument before, and I will again. OK, she’s pushing Virtualshield – but that doesn’t make her wrong on the basic message. That is, you need some way to decouple your home/work IP address from the places you visit.
It’s not just that the places you visit track you by IP address. Yes, they do, ALL of them. But, in addition to that, every node that your traffic touches (e.g. your ISP) creates logs of the websites you visit and the articles that you read and the things that you search for or buy. It’s horrific. All of that is used to build profiles of you, or worse.
Having a VPN is not a cure-all, but it’s the best step you can take in the right direction right now. I have a multi-seat lifetime subscription to a VPN (not Virtualshield, not that there’s anything wrong with them) . I connect through it before I do any news reading or searching. I’m connected through it now.
Two things to consider when choosing a VPN:
1) Make sure it provides secure DNS servers on the outside of the proxy. Otherwise the DNS servers will keep their own logs of the websites you visit.
2) Make sure it blocks or reassigns your IPV6 address as well as IPV4. While there are benefits to IPV6, a HUGE drawback is that it identifies each computer individually. If the VPN you choose doesn’t handle this then block IPV6 on your local devices and router.
