Judge Sumi and Secretary of State in Collusion with Democrats to Push Union Contracts?
On Friday Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi (a known political Liberal) put a temporary restraining order on the Union reform law passed by the Wisconsin Legislature and signed by Governor Walker while she takes time to read through the case brought by the ‘local Democratic District Attorney.’ She put it on hold until March 29th.
It’s a pretty simple case, the special session rules allow the Governor to call special sessions without notification. One of the arguments in the case that the Judge issued the restraining order on is that the Governor didn’t give 24 hour notice. Note to the Judge – Wisconsin laws specifically state that the Governor does not have to give notice when calling a special session – he gave a 2 hour notice. Also interesting is the Democrat Secretary of State has decided to hold off publishing the law until March 25th even though Governor Walker asked him to publish it immediately.
