Nancy Pelosi says National Inst. of Health has “Biblical Powers to Cure”!
Yes, Nancy Pelosi, former majority leader of the House of Representatives has attributed “Biblical Powers to Cure” to the very secular National Institutes of Health.
She did this during a press conference on the Hill to celebrate the first anniversary of Obama Care, in which she alternately blasted the GOP for their requested budget cuts including one to the National Institutes of Health, and boasted of the funding included in the Obama Care law for S-CHIP, and the Stimulus funding for Information Technology, and more.

When speaking at a press conference on Capitol Hill celebrating the first anniversary of the health care bill’s passage, Pelosi said, “There’s a cut in funding for the National Institutes of Health. This is not a healthy thing for our country because that research has answers. You know that every family in America is one telephone call, one diagnosis, one accident away from needing the kind of biomedical research that can cure–really have the biblical power to cure in a very, very special way and so to cut back on that research is wrong.” [emphasis mine]
Okay, first of all, can you even begin to imagine what kind of fall out there would be if a REPUBLICAN congressperson compared anything in the government to something “biblical”? The ACLU would be clamoring at the doors crying out for that representative’s head; not to mention all the left wing media talking heads going ga-ga for retribution. Nancy-Pants saying this (with a straight face, too!) goes on my list of completely ludicrous things done by the Libs.
I suppose the libs think that likening the NIH’s biomedical research to biblical powers to cure makes the fact that the GOP trying to CUT…
