Have The Bones of Stacy Peterson Been Located?

Woodridge, IL—Some local kids found the bones of an apparent human yesterday in a wooded area here. Police were unable to determine the sex of remains and simply arranged transportation to a local Medical Examiner’s Office. There, dental records and DNA will be used in an effort to identify the remains. They will also have the difficult task to determine a cause of death too.

This area is close to Bolingbrook where retired police sergeant Drew Peterson’s forth wife Stacy Peterson disappeared. I can’t help but to wonder if these bones belong to this missing woman. Common roads connect these areas as the map and satellite photo above show.

Drew Peterson was convicted of murdering his third wife Kathleen Savio. He was sentenced to 38 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after the unprecedented introduction of hearsay evidence at his trial. Will County authorities want badly to stand trial for what they believe is the presumed murder of Stacy Peterson who was reported missing four years ago.
