Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery’s Nasty Side Exposed!

Phoenix, AZ—Yesterday morning Maricopa County Attorney, Bill Montgomery’s office announced that they were having a press conference. The purpose was to disclose his plans to re-introduced a disgraced former cop Armando Saldate’s tainted testimony to another jury. Not on just any case but the Capital Murder re-trial of Debra Milke.

Montgomery left his ethics book far behind as he spent over 45 minutes telling the members of the media what a wonderful cop Armando Saldate was. Saldate is the admitted sex extortionist that was essentially labeled as a serial perjurer by the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.

Montgomery’s press aide Jerry Cobb barred members of European media and me from attending Montgomery’s press briefings. I guess they are afraid dealing with any potentially difficult questions.

Montgomery really showed his evil side by accusing the higher court of libeling the troubled ex-cop by making a flawed ruling. Montgomery tried to make a case that the court and their ruling was somehow up for further review by him or a lower court. Since they did not appeal the Ninth Circuit ruling that was and is the final legal chapter everyone must accept.

Montgomery called the reliance on the Ninth Circuit Courts findings by the defense as a form of witness tampering! The defense referenced the decision that is they very reason this case up for a potential retrial. That court referred the matter to the Justice Department for an investigation of criminal conduct by Saldate to violate Milke’s Civil Rights.

Saldate hired a lawyer, Larry Debus and is refusing to cooperate with Montgomery’s office seeking to invoke his right not to incriminate himself.

Montgomery went on to say that the suggestion that Saldate faces no possibility of being charged with a crime because the “statute of limitations” had run its course. He even produced a letter from the Justice Dept suggesting that but I guess they have all have forgotten that Saldate testified against Milke once again in January of 2010 in federal court. That is well within the statute of limitations.

Montgomery failed in a big way to display any class whatsoever when he accused the defense of “dancing on the grave of Christopher Milke.” What a horrible thing for any public official to say!

Once the terminally ill grandmother of that child Renata Janka heard Montgomery’s appalling “dancing” remark I’m told it put her into additional mental and physical distress. I’m also aware that it inflicted even more pain and punishment upon his mother Debra Milke that she simply does not deserve. What a disgusting, despicable and cruel comment to make soiling the memory of a murdered innocent child?

Montgomery has crossed every legal, ethical and moral line he could. He’s even made his disbarred and disgraced predecessor Andrew Thomas look better.
