Hassan Rouhani Uses Barack Obama As His Love Sheep

Remember back when Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) 51% pushed through a piece of paper an agreement guaranteeing peace in our time Iran a nuclear weapon? Since then a lot of things have happened. The UN repealed sanctions against Iran. This is critical. So long as the sanctions were in place a future US administration could have vetoed any attempt to remove them. Despite all of Obama’s talk about “snap back” sanctions, these are impossible. Neither Russia (who is essentially allied with Iran) nor China will permit a new round of sanctions on Iran.

In October, Obama gave the order for all US agencies to prepare to remove sanctions.

President Barack Obama Sunday ordered the U.S. government to start preparing to lift sanctions against Iran on what was called Adoption Day — the day all parties who signed the nuclear deal in July take the first steps towards implementing it.

“I welcome this important step forward, and we, together with our partners, must now focus on the critical work of fully implementing this comprehensive resolution that addresses our concerns over Iran’s nuclear program,” Obama said Sunday.

Read the last paragraph again. This says, right now, sanctions are being lifted.

This does everything from allowing the Export-Import Bank to fund Iranian projects (yes, it is Republicans who are pushing for this) to removing personal sanctions on the soulless butcher who leads the Iran Republican Guards Corps Quds Force.

But wait.

President Obama didn’t require Iranian leaders to sign the nuclear deal that his team negotiated with the regime, and the deal is not “legally binding,” his administration acknowledged in a letter to Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS) 84% (R., Kan.) obtained by National Review.

“The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not a treaty or an executive agreement, and is not a signed document,” wrote Julia Frifield, the State Department assistant secretary for legislative affairs, in the November 19 letter.

“The success of the JCPOA will depend not on whether it is legally binding or signed, but rather on the extensive verification measures we have put in place, as well as Iran’s understanding that we have the capacity to re-impose — and ramp up — our sanctions if Iran does not meet its commitments,” Frifield wrote to Pompeo.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani discouraged his nation’s parliament from voting on the nuclear deal in order to avoid placing legal burdens on the regime. “If the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is sent to [and passed by] parliament, it will create an obligation for the government. It will mean the president, who has not signed it so far, will have to sign it,” Rouhani said in August. “Why should we place an unnecessary legal restriction on the Iranian people?”

So, with the aid of Bob Corker, Obama received the approval of the US Senate to proceed with his surrender. The Iranians were so contemptuous of Obama and the agreement that they refuse to vote on it and place no legal importance to the document. More than that, this agreement is simply the word of an individual Iranian politician and, according to the State Department, not an agreement between the US and Iran. On the other hand, Obama is dismantling all sanctions currently in force against Iran and locking a future administration into supporting this unconscionable agreement.

If these negotiations were a porn flick, Rouhani would be the lusty shepherd and Obama the dimwitted, ever-trusting but bedraggled sheep.
