Ivanka Trump’s CHINESE-MADE Scarves In Trouble

Donald Trump has blasted companies for doing business overseas. Companies who do, like Apple, have been bashed in the media by Trump. Trump’s supporters don’t care. This makes him a good businessman, they say. And, while the supporters of Donald Trump for president do want to burn D.C., I don’t think this is the right way to go about it.

And on Wednesday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that 20,000 of his daughter’s scarves are being recalled for violating the U.S. Federal Flammability Standard. The scarves “pose a burn risk,” the CSPC said. No injuries have been reported.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled scarves and return them to the place where purchased for a full refund,” according to the recall notice. Two styles — “Beach Wave” and “Brushstroke Oblong” — are affected by the recall. Century 21, Lord & Taylor, Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Stein Mart retail stores sell the scarves. Prices range from $12 to $68.

This is business savvy at its finest, no? Save a buck here or there to get a product out to the marketplace. Now, if our nation’s tax code is too harsh to allow you to maximize your profits, then sure, do what you need to do. You, of course, accept the risks involved with such labor, and this is one of them.

However, if you are out trashing major companies for this practice, then perhaps you need to make sure your business practices are in line with your political rhetoric. After all, there is such thing as karma in politics. This is another fine example of the cosmos handing out justice, little bits at a time.
