Reince Priebus Schools Donald Trump On How Math Works (VIDEO)

Donald Trump and his goons have spent most of the last three weeks threatening the RNC with Armageddon, if the slack-jawed lackwits who are organizing this can actually pull it off, at the GOP convention in Cleveland. They have also been involved in threatening delegates to the convention. Today, on CNN’s State of the Nation, RNC chairman, Reince Priebus, called bulls**t on Donald Trump’s demands that he be given the nomination despite the fact that most of the GOP electorate opposes him.

The set up. Dana Bash asks, “So in the future, do you think it would be better to just make the person coming into the convention who has the most delegates the nominee?”

PRIEBUS. PRIEBUS: Well, first of all, having a plurality of the delegates means that the field has the majority. So you have to have the majority. I mean, it’s the United States of America. That’s what we’re founded on, Electoral College is a majority. That the DNC does it the same way? No. The majority rules — and that is an American concept that I can’t imagine us turning our backs on.

So I don’t internalize — I don’t sit here and internalize the charge because there’s no there there because there’s nothing the RNC can do about it.

Then Bash asks, “So do you think this is hyperbole for theater and that, you know, that that’s what this is about, or do you think that there’s a real –”

PRIEBUS: Listen, I’m not sure what it is. But what I do know is what the truth is. And since I know what the truth is, I don’t really worry about it.

Priebus was right on all counts here. Thus far Donald Trump has not complained about the disenfranchisement of the MAJORITY of GOP voters in winner-take-all states who voted against Trump and have been deprived of the ability to send delegates representing anyone other than Trump. He’s fine with that. What he’s complaining about is actually having to win a majority of delegates and the fact that he was to lazy to bother recruiting delegates. It seems that Priebus has had just about all of the fun that he can handle and is willing to tell Trump to take a hike if he can’t abide by the rules.
