Is Brexit just about nationalism and independence, or is it also about a multipolar world? It really meant nothing to the British that their government, the opposition, trade unions, bankers, the IMF and even Barack Obama himself warned them that a vote for Brexit equaled suicide. The more confidence was shown by the supporters of remaining in the EU, the more distrust grew in the Brexit camp. Although pro-Brexit voters were right to vote to leave the EU, it is hard to fathom that even a few of them really understood why Brexit had gain such a strong ground. Brexit, although seemingly so, was not a move against the Establishment; at least not if you consider that Queen Elizabeth was in favor of Britain leaving the EU. In fact, Britain leaving the euro zone is part of a greater scheme that once again seeks to shift power from the hands of one plantation owner to the hands of a few plantation owners. By leaving the EU, the British will be somehow free from European political and financial chains. However, the question is, whose chains will Britain be tied up with? While some political leaders have taken advantage to obediently abandon their political ideology and renounce something they have so strongly fought for, as David Cameron did, and as Michael Gove is doing to become the new British Prime Minister, the truth is that Brexit is only one more step in the direction to switch captains on a rapidly sinking ship. Mr. Gove is right, people have had enough experts and well-meaning politicians, but what is also true is that they do not know where they are going. Perhaps Mr. Gove and Mr. Cameron do know, and that is why they’ve made their moves so quickly. Supporters of Brexit distrust “career politicians” and a ruling elite, because they feel ignored. That is the main reason why the Leave vote won. However, that is not the reason why Brexit became reality. As pointed out numerous times by people of all social strata, politicians are put in power to give people the illusion that they have a choice, even though they do not have a choice. Career politicians are placeholders and the mainstream media are their biggest cheerleaders. While everyone sees Brexit as a great victory for nationalism and independence; and it is to a degree, it would be naive to reduce the result of a referendum to just that: the victory of nationalism over globalism. It is true that politicians in charge of looking after the people’s business defrauded the public via the financial system and ruined the lives of millions of workers and were not even punished for it. “I do not believe what they tell us,” said a few days ago Anabel Clapham, a saleswoman that voted Brexit. “They do not know the hospital waiting lists and see how it is filled with Poles. They want to frighten with numbers, but we know what we have,” she said. “They voted against Westminster and Brussels against Labour and the Conservatives. Those who voted for Brexit are workers who have been left behind in the economic transformation of the UK in recent decades and who have little reason to think that the future will necessarily be better than the past,” says Matthew Goodwin, professor of politics University of Kent and co-author of the Revolt of the right: support for the radical right in the UK. The data indicates that it is not so much a matter of rich against poor, as lack of expectations of progress. The latest report of the Government Commission for social mobility and child poverty suggests that beyond-classic north-south, field-city- gaps have emerged in recent years as well as new sources of inequality, in which there is less possibility that a child born in an environment with few resources can have a good education or get a good job. If we cross these localities with the results of the referendum, the conclusions are enlightening. Recent research indicates that the rejection of the EU is not so much stronger in areas with low wages, but especially where wages have stagnated. That is, where there are few expectations for improvement and where the UKIP, the eurosceptic party has become strong. So for the average people, voting for Brexit was indeed about trying a new alternative, perhaps one where more resources and attentions is given to British rather than the EU or hundreds of thousands of immigrants coming from Africa and the Middle East. On the other hand, the Establishment has not lost complete control of the system just because one nation voted to leave a globalist political and financial construct built by those behind the curtain. As explained by Professor Alfredo Jalife-Rahme in his article Brexit coincides with India’s and Pakistan’s entry into the SCO, the exit of Britain from the EU is part of a new alignment in world geopolitics, a new multipolar world where “the US declares that Russia has won; China asserts that the dollar has won and the Euro has lost and Russia assures that China has won.” In truth, the same powerful elite stays in power, though sharing the loot in three parts and while ending American hegemony.
