Sean Hannity Slams RedState, Threatens Retaliation

It’s been a banner day here at RedState as one of our own, Senior Front Page Editor, Susan Wright brought the wrath of Sean Hannity down on us all. Hannity went ballastic on Twitter after seeing a headline for Wright’s article, “Sean Hannity Strips Away Any Prior Denials of Alt-Right Involvement”

Notice he isn’t denying anything, he’s just attacking RedState and Ms. Wright for writing about it. You might also notice that Sean Hannity doesn’t know the difference between libel and slander. Slander is spoken, libel is written.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Hannity then shows he’s more like his idol, Donald Trump than we knew. When he drops a not so subtle reference that was a bit too close to “that RedState has a nice little site here, it’d be a shame if anything happened to it….” for me.

To her credit, Wright stood up for herself and her words:

Someone should really tell him the difference between Slander and libel if he’s going to spend all day tweeting about it.

The whole incident made RedState Editor, Caleb Howe a bit nostalgic. So he shared one of his own posts on Sean Hannity, with one of the best headlines I’ve ever read….

I’m proud to write for RedState, knowing they stand by their people and their stories. This bullying by Sean Hannity isn’t acceptable, but I don’t expect him to stop. He like Trump has learned it works for him. So plan to see more of Hannity’s tirades, as he tries to shut down his critics. In the meantime, congratulations to Susan Wright for writing something that clearly got under Sean Hannity’s very thin skin.
