Trump Administration Unveils Phase One of Border Wall

President Trump is finally getting his border wall:

“Among the newly unveiled border enhancements are 14 miles of bollard wall set to replace steel landing mats in San Diego, as well as 14 miles for the replacement of a secondary barrier; two miles of a 30-foot border wall that will take the place of an existing pedestrian barrier in Calexico, California; the addition of gates to a 35-miles stretch of existing border wall and 25 miles of levee wall set to be put up in Hidalgo County, Texas.

The agency said it will replace roughly 47 miles of border fencing with new border wall systems equipped with cameras and other tools. …”

It is a few dozen miles of fence and levees. If you can believe it, the money is being spent to add gates to the existing fence. This is what the Republican base got out of a $1.3 trillion dollar spending bill. It is also likely all they will ever get if the Republicans lose the midterm elections.
