Trump to G7: I’ll let go when you do

Canada alone has over 300% tariffs on US products and Europe has a similar amount. 

The G-7 summit in the Canadian resort of La Malbaie has left at least two photos that serve as a metaphor to describe what seems to have happened inside.

One of them is the handshake between Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron, so hard on the part of the Frenchman that his thumb was marked on the numb hand of the New Yorker.

The other one shows a Trump sitting, skeptical and with his arms crossed to one side of the table, while the rest of the leaders walk on his feet as if they wanted to convince an atheist of the existence of God.

Nothing indicates that they achieved it. In fact, the opposite is true.

The summit ended with a cross of high-pitched reproaches. A reflection of the times, no matter how much anyone can afford to do without the other.

When the president of the European Council, Donald Tusk, said that Trump is putting the world order in danger, in order that his own country built after the Second World War, he did not exaggerate.

Of course, ending the current order would be a great thing. All its institutions are still standing, but every day they are more irrelevant.

At the top there is the United Nations, an irrelevant organisation punished in its budget since Trump lends little or no support.

Then, there is the World Trade Organization, child of the global elite that has been in power of the American government for decades. 

In addition to challenging the dying world order, Trump refused to adopt its values and principles that have allowed Washington to abuse the world knowing that it would have the support of the West. 

Trump is trying to rewrite the rules and he seems to be willing to squander the relationship with his allies if they do not agree to the necessary concessions to end over one hundred years of globalist control. Existing unfair trade practices “We are like a piggy bank from which everyone steals.

But that is going to end,” Trump said before bidding farewell to the summit. He was the last to arrive and the first to leave on the way to Singapore, where he is looking for an opportunity to solve the Korean conflict as he meets North Korea’s Kim Jung-un. Meetings on climate change and clean energy were skipped.

Not interested, and although he maintained that the relationship with his allies good, on a scale of zero to ten, he left without apparently giving up one iota. He said he aims to eliminate all “ridiculous and unacceptable” tariffs and trade barriers to US exports and to end the “unfair trade practices” of its competitors.

“If we do not fix it, we will stop trading with all those countries,” he warned. Macron confirmed the signing of a joint statement with the heading of its seven participants, which would serve to convey the impression that there is a consensus of minimums and that the talks had been constructive.

Chancellor Angela Merkel said there is a shared desire to reduce tariffs and trade barriers, but she also acknowledged that the devil is in the details.

Fury against Trudeau The truth is that everything exploded when Trump had left. He received the words of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a subsequent press conference and, angry, ordered his people not to sign the joint statement.

Trump announced that it is preparing tariffs on imported cars “that flood the US market.” and ended his statement with a message to Trudeau through Twitter, while he was aboard Air Force One, on his way to Singapore.

Trudeau warned Trump at the end of the summit that his country will have “no doubt” in taking commercial reprisals against the US, if necessary.

“The prime minister of Canada, Trudeau, acted so softly and submissively during our G7 meeting and then, after I had left, he gave a press conference to say, that US tariffs are somewhat insulting” and that he “will not be pushed around.”

Meanwhile, online, all kinds of experts and wannabe scholars are begging Trump not to shake the skeleton of the existing world order system anymore. The thing is, he is begun and he won’t stop until a new world order is in place.
