Another Sign the Mueller Probe Is Ending With a Thud

The long-awaited report of the of Special Counsel, Robert Mueller, is going to be released soon and yesterday gave us another hint why.

As I wrote here yesterday at Red State DISAPPOINTMENT……. Mueller Probe Is A Dud. the signs of this report being released right after the election are all around us.

Now, we have one more sign.

Former Trump National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn. will be finally sentenced just over a year after he plead guilty to lying to the F.B.I. on December 18th. According to Politico …

Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, is set to be sentenced on Dec. 18, following months of delay after he pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian officials during the transition.

The move by U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan comes a day after special counsel Robert Mueller’s team signaled that it was ready for Flynn to be sentenced after previously asking for delays, prompting speculation that the former top aide was still cooperating with the probe. Mueller’s team agreed to recommend a reduced prison sentence for Flynn if he cooperated with the investigation and also agreed to testify in any future criminal cases.

The Mueller team had delayed the sentencing phase of this in the hopes that they would be able to leverage Flynn to give more information if they found anything in the investigation they were charged with doing. The Flynn legal team has asked the judge numerous times for the sentencing so their client could get on with his life.

Now that will finally happen.

This is one more clue that this investigation is just about over and I would suspect that if they had anything pointing to the President something would have gotten out. As tight-lipped as this investigation has been there had been numerous times where just a lil info leaked out to get the press buzzing about how Trump would be resigning within days.

Can’t wait to see how the press reacts to this.
