Trump’s Presidency Mirrors Lincoln In Many Ways

Twenty four hours of warning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Turkey was preparing to attack US military forces in Syria. President Trump The Nationalist called Turkish President Erdogan asking a single question about US military forces stationed there. Trump Asked, “Will Turkey clear the east of Euphrates if US forces withdraw from Syria?”.

Trump The Nationalist, told by President Erdogan, “intensely’ preparing for a military operation in Syria to wipe ISIL terrorists out. The Ministry of Defense moved quickly. They needed to facilitate an Iranian troop pull-out in the de-escalation zone in the south of Syria. This to lessen tensions with Israel. Then, Trump The Nationalist declaring victory over these terrorists in Syria. Trump was also ordering an immediate withdrawal of US military forces. An order obeyed by US State Department officials. They immediately left Syria, with their being followed by US army trucks. Trucks loaded with arms heading from Syria to Iraq. US military forces, also, withdrawing from their Turkey-Syrian border outposts.

President Trump ordered the withdrawal of all US military forces from Syria this week. It is the second time he has done so. Trump’s first attempt over 6-months ago, “it’s time to leave Syria.” Trump’s order was met with insubordination by US Army General Joseph Votel. Votel fired back at Trump “we’re staying.” Trump didn’t counter, instead, ordering Votel to work with Russia to wipe out these terrorists. Another direct order Votel disobeyed, “General Votel not only discredited the official position of President Trump but also exacerbated legal turmoil under international law, jeopardizing the American military in Syria.”
