President Trump launched a fresh attack on Monday on the news outlet, describing in tweets that it refers of many “crazed lunatics,” and he again invoked the unflattering term “enemy of the people.”
“With all of the success, the United States is having, including the just-released jobs stats which are extremely dramatic in the charts, the Fake News & totally unprincipled Media regarding me and my position as president has never been so poor and disrespectful,” according to President Trump
“The Fake News Media in The US is the real Opposition Party,” Trump said. “It is definitely the Enemy of the People! We must bring honesty back to journalism and reporting!”
Trump has described the news media as the “enemy of the people” in 18 tweets since June. He has said about 80 percent of the press falls into that category.
