Beto Channels Booker’s T-Bone When He Claims Lots Of Texans Are Giving Up Their AR-15s Because They Don’t Feel Safe

Robert Francis Beta Beto O’Rourke may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he can learn. You know how NJ Senator and presidential aspirant Cory Booker has at various times claimed to have a drug dealer friend named T-bone and girlfriend (though I’m sure anyone as relentlessly and remorselessly heterosexual as Booker has dozens of girlfriends)? Now Beto has one-upped his mentor an invented dozens of Texans who are supportive of his promise to sent SWAT to your door to “buy back” your AR-15 or equivalent.

Using guns to hunt or for self-defense makes a lot of sense to us here in Texas. But even from those Texans who own AR-15s, they’ve told me this themselves: ‘I don’t need this. I don’t need it to hunt. I don’t need it to protect myself. It was fun to use. I like taking it out to the range, but if giving this back or cutting it to pieces or selling it to the government helps to keep us safer, then by all means let’s do it.’

First off, this is a lie on its face. If you are only using your modern sporting rifle for hunting, target practice, or self-defense then you really aren’t much of a danger to anyone. If you are a big enough p***y to say what Beto says is being said to him, you are manifestly not only not a danger but fairly useless. No sane person believes this is the case.

The real reason that Beto is doing this is because his bald statement, aimed at the cheap seats at the Houston debate, about “Hell yes we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47. We’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore,” gave the entire gun rights movement the clarity they need to see what the final objective is (assuming they were too dense to figure that out earlier). In fact, Beto was so clear that Democrats are whining about the danger he’s done (see Brandon Morse’s Even Democrat Lawmakers Wish O’Rourke Hadn’t Said He’d Take Our Guns).

All Beto is doing here is damage control. He’s telling a bald-faced lie knowing that a compliant and sympathetic media will go along and support him.
