Thread: News Summary from the Week that Was (13 – 19 October)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Here are this week’s stories that don’t fit the media’s “Republicans bad, Democrats good” narrative. There are a lot of items from which to choose, but these are somewhat off the beaten path but nevertheless important. Once again, I am doing longer quotes of fewer articles this week, as I am still overseas.

1. This is a great way to start the list! This topic is something that Democrats and their paid media are desperate to hide. Have you seen this reported anywhere?

According to the findings of a new Hill-HarrisX poll, a shocking 32 percent of black male voters would prefer to vote for Donald Trump over a generic Democrat opponent in the 2020 presidential election. The Hill reported the data deceptively by claiming that an “overwhelming majority of black voters” would support a Democrat in 2020 over President Trump. The fake news did not mention Trump’s impressive support among black male voters in their report about the poll. While 32 percent of black males support the President against a Democratic challenger, only seven percent of black females would support him over the generic Democrat. The black community may be split on gender lines over Trump, but he has undoubtedly amassed an impressive level of support from the men for a Republican contender.

Read the rest here.  Keep in mind that POTUS has endured 3 years of 98% negative media coverage. Imagine what his numbers would be with even SEMBLANCE of balance from the legacy media!

2. Here’s more evidence that some if not all members of the Democrats’ Star Wars bar scene are insane and should only ever enter the Oval Office on guided tours:

Should it be a crime to knowingly expose someone to HIV without disclosing it? Most sane people would say yes. But a widely panned Vox article published this week said that state laws making it a crime to not disclose your HIV status “have only increased stigma and abuse.” And apparently, many 2020 Democrats agree with this ludicrous, insane point of view. This was a common theme at Thursday night’s CNN town hall focused on gay and transgender issues, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign. Host Anderson Cooper, for example, called laws criminalizing HIV nondisclosure “antiquated” and based on “old science.” Presidential contender Pete Buttigieg agreed, saying, “It’s not fair and it needs to change.” And both on the CNN stage and in her new LGBT issues platform, Sen. Elizabeth Warren has endorsed decriminalizing HIV transmission as well. Sen. Cory Booker has also signed on to this radicalism, explicitly agreeing that laws requiring disclosure of HIV status to sexual partners are “archaic” and have “no scientific basis,” calling for their complete repeal.

Democrats may be endorsing this irresponsible decriminalization in an attempt to pander to woke gay and transgender activists, yet in reality it’s mostly the gay community that these laws protect in the first place. Putting gay lives at risk appears to be “woke” now, but it’s sure as hell not “progressive” in any meaningful sense of the word.

Read the rest here. I get it; some of these clowns want to return to the years of the HIV epidemic and associated fears. They need to be publicly shamed and discarded like the dirty dish rags they are.

3. Here is a great article that exposes the legacy media’s political bias against POTUS for all the world to see:

Since Donald Trump’s election in 2016, the mainstream media has shed its once-noble mission — the pursuit of the truth — and instead adopted a new purpose: to take down the president. In an excerpt from her new book, “Resistance at All Costs: How Trump Haters are Breaking America,” out Tuesday, KIMBERLEY STRASSEL examines how far the press will go in its relentless crusade . . .

Last week The Washington Post revealed the alarming news that House Democrats were considering having their anonymous “whistleblower” testify from a remote location, and in disguise. Just as shocking as the details of this plan was the justification the Post ladled on this Democratic effort to hide impeachment information from the public. It explained, high up in the story, that the cloak-and-dagger approach was merely Democrats expressing “distrust of their GOP colleagues, whom they see as fully invested in defending a president who has attacked the whistleblower’s credibility and demanded absolute loyalty from Republicans.” This, from a newspaper with a tagline of “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”

Maybe the better journalistic epitaph is: Democracy dies in bias. How did journalism get here? I’ve never engaged much in media criticism, because it’s almost too obvious. Yes, the mainstream media is liberal and biased. But at least in the past, that bias was largely a function of insularity. Most reporters weren’t even fully aware they were prejudiced politically; everyone they worked and socialized with held the same left-of-center views. That’s changed in the age of Trump. The press has embraced its bias, joined the Resistance and declared its allegiance to one side of a partisan war. It now openly declares those who offer any fair defense of this administration as Trump “enablers.” It writes off those who question the FBI or Department of Justice actions in 2016 as “conspiracy” theorists. It acts as willing scribes for Democrats and former Obama officials; peddles evidence-free accusations; sources stories from people with clear political axes to grind; and closes its eyes to clear evidence of government abuse.

Sure, when it comes to the Trump administration, the press rides herd on every issue. But when it has come to former Obama officials (Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe, John Brennan), the media has swallowed everything it is told. It’s hard to explain just how big a dereliction of duty this is. This willingness to cast aside facts in favor of theory is what has fed years of hysterical collusion conspiracy theories. By embracing hypothetics (rather than tracking down facts), the press indulged in endless “connect the dots” exercises. What has defined the media breakdown that started in 2016 was the press’ abandonment of standards in aid of peddling a narrative — rather than reality. For those worried about our increasingly polarized society, the media is feeding that divide.

Read the rest here. The legacy media have abrogated their constitutional responsibility in favor of Democrat partisanship. They are the enemy of the people.

4. More support for POTUS’s decision to pull US special forces off the Turkey-Syrian border keeps rolling in. This one is pretty good:

The hard truth is that the fifty US soldiers along the Syrian-Turkish border were a fake trip wire. Neither Trump nor the US military had any intention of sacrificing US forces to either block a Turkish invasion of Syria or foment deeper US involvement in the event of a Turkish invasion. Here it is critical to note that Trump did not remove US forces from Syria. They are still deployed along the border crossing between Jordan, Iraq and Syria to block Iran from moving forces and materiel to Syria and Lebanon. They are still blocking Russian and Syrian forces from taking over the oil fields along the eastern bank of the Euphrates. Aside from defeating ISIS, these missions are the principle strategic achievements of the US forces in Syria. For now, they are being maintained. Will Turkey’s invasion enable ISIS to reassert itself in Syria and beyond? Perhaps. But here too, as Trump made clear this week, it is not America’s job to serve as the permanent jailor of ISIS.

European forces are just as capable of serving as guards as Americans are. America’s role is not to stay in Syria forever. It is to beat down threats to US and world security as they emerge and then let others – Turks, Kurds, Europeans, Russians, UN peacekeepers – maintain the new, safer status quo. The final assumption of the narrative regarding Trump’s moves in Syria is that by moving its forces away from the border ahead of the Turkish invasion, Trump harmed regional stability and America’s reputation as a trustworthy ally. On the latter issue, Trump has spent the better part of his term in office rebuilding America’s credibility as an ally after Obama effectively abandoned the Sunnis and Israel in favor of Iran.

To the extent that Trump has harmed US credibility, he didn’t do it in Syria this week by rejecting war with Turkey. He did it last month by failing to retaliate militarily against Iran’s brazen military attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil installations. Whereas the US has no commitment to protect the Kurds, the US’s central commitment in the Middle East for the past 70 years has been the protection of Saudi oil installations and maintaining the safety of maritime routes in and around the Persian Gulf.

As for Syria, it is impossible to known what the future holds for the Kurds, the Turks, the Iranians, Assad or anyone else. But what is clear enough is that Trump avoided war with Turkey this week. And he began extracting America from an open-ended commitment to the Kurds it never made and never intended to fulfill.

Read the rest here. In short, he’s on solid ground in his handling of Turkey.

5. Here is confirmation of massive illegal spying on Americans by the FBI.

According to a new declassified ruling from the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), FBI personnel systematically abused National Security Agency (NSA) mass surveillance data in both 2017 and 2018. The 138-page ruling, which dates back to October 2018, was only unsealed 12 months later in October 2019. It offers a rare look at how the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been abusing the constitutional privacy rights of U.S. citizens with alarming regularity. The court ruling is also a stinging rebuke to the FBI’s overreach of its ability to search surveillance intelligence databases.

Simply put, the data was available to search, and the FBI willingly took advantage of every opportunity to query the NSA intelligence database. For example, FBI employees routinely used mass surveillance data to investigate potential witnesses and informants. In 2017 alone, the FBI conducted over 3.1 million searches of surveillance data, compared to just 7,500 combined searches by the CIA and NSA. This is particularly troubling because, under current FBI operating procedures, this surveillance data can only be searched if there is reasonable suspicion of crimes having taken place or clear risks to national security. And, yet, FBI employees and FBI contractors were at times searching the database to see what information they could find on U.S. citizens not at all connected to foreign intelligence matters. In short, the FBI violated Americans’ privacy by abusing access to NSA surveillance data with warrantless searches.

Read the rest here. All the leftist-oriented civil libertarians used to be up in arms about “Big Brother,” but not in the Age of Trump.

6. The Trump Doctrine is explained here, and the Uniparty globalists don’t like it!

What our betters – those same smug geniuses who brought us Iraq, let NATO deadbeats string us along, and who let Mexico and China exploit us – truly hate is the fact that the American people stood up in 2016 and demanded that our foreign policy stop sucking. Americans are sick of always getting handed the bill for some lame ruling caste priority, whether it’s paying for the privilege of defending Europe on behalf of ungrateful continentals or funding the weird climate religion or letting China get rich off of gutting our industries. Mostly, we are sick of shipping our magnificent warriors off to die in ill-conceived, poorly-planned, ineptly-executed wars where we ended up shedding our boys’ (and girls’) blood refereeing fights that go back a dozen centuries. The coastal elite gets to bask in the radiance of its own moral superiority for deploying young people in camo from Nebraska farms and Texas towns, and we get to hold the funerals.

America First is a commonsense response to decades of America Last. It’s a repudiation of those who get elected by Americans to protect and promote American interests yet think of themselves as “Global Citizens.”

[T]he Trump Doctrine – the notion that American power should be directed toward serving the interests of the American people – is a coherent foreign policy vision of the kind we have not had in the United States for decades. In the hands of Secretary Pompeo and other believers (as opposed to the Deep State moles in the foreign policy bureaucracy), the Trump Doctrine means an on-going re-ordering of our foreign relations priority toward the only proper priority – American interests.  You see that when Donald Trump wields US economic power by imposing tariffs (Oh, summon the smelling salts!) on China to finally force it into an equal relationship with the United States. This horrifies those who are quite willing to put up with the PRC’s trade malfeasance because it lines their pockets, or because taking the side of US workers is just too hard, or because zombie Milton Freidman would be sad. But mostly you see it when the President avoids new wars no matter how hard the smart set demands he create his own quagmire. Iran has been ham-handedly trying to provoke a fight by poking our allies. Trump won’t bite. He sees the trap. And in Syria, he is keeping his promise to leave. There’s always a good reason for going into these conflicts (ISIS is bad), and there’s always a good reason to stay (Many Kurds are fine people). But there are better reasons to pack up and leave.

The American people, at least those who aren’t in DC or the media, understand that every problem around the world is not our problem. If you’re one of those Citizens of the World, then feel free to enlist in the Army of the World. Just count us out of your bloody altruism.

7. Democrat senators dipping their beaks into Ukrainian cash! Could Ukraine end the Democrat Party as we know it?

Joe Biden hit back at allegations over his son, Hunter, saying there was nothing corrupt about the firing of that Ukrainian prosecutor. But that is a total dodge. The real scandal is not about the firing of the damn prosecutor!! — it’s about U.S. cash for Ukraine gas. It involves not just the Bidens, but former Secretary of State John Kerry and a growing number of Democratic senators as our special investigation will reveal. These credible allegations of corruption must be investigated. Of course, President Trump is right to pursue them with Attorney General Barr, and yes, with the leader of the country where the alleged corruption took place.

How can you investigate U.S. cash for Ukraine gas without involving Ukraine? Remember Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s business partner? He had previously been a top fundraiser for John Kerry, who was Secretary of State at the time. And soon after Devon and Hunter joined the Burisma Board, the company channeled $90,000 to a lobbying firm called ML Strategies, which was headed by none other than David Leiter, John Kerry’s former chief of staff.

That’s handy because then-Secretary of State John Kerry himself has visited Ukraine with promises of U.S. aid and assistance. Well, Leiter registered as a Burisma lobbyist in mid-2014. But in the year leading up to that, he gave close to $60,000 to Democrats, including a select group of U.S. senators who would later be instrumental in pushing cash towards Ukraine’s energy sector, directly in line with Burisma’s interests. He donated to Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., four times and to Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., three times. A month after the last of those donations, both Markey and Shaheen were among four senators who wrote a letter to President Obama that said, “We should leverage the full resources and expertise of the U.S. government to assist Ukraine in improving its energy efficiency, increasing its domestic production and reforming its energy markets.” Sen. Ed Markey was the Senate sponsor of the Green New Deal! He wants to shut down gas production in America. Yet he personally intervened with the Obama administration to send your tax dollars to boost Ukraine’s gas production. And not just once. Not only did he write that letter to Obama, but he sponsored multiple pieces of legislation that called for more U.S. assistance and aid specifically to help Ukraine’s natural gas sector, including one that “directs the Overseas Private Investment Corporation to prioritize support for investments to increase energy efficiency, developed domestic oil and natural gas reserves and develop renewable energy sources in Ukraine.”

This is a massive scandal. U.S. cash for Ukraine gas. Sen. Ed Markey, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, John Kerry, David Leiter, Devon Archer, Hunter Biden —  and yes, Joe Biden, who was literally presiding over all of this as it was going on — of course, it should all be investigated.

Read the rest here. This article partially explains why the Democrats are apoplectic about trying to impeach the president under false premises, as they can’t survive complete exposure of their corruption in Ukraine. The Obamas and the Clintons are hip-deep in it, too.

8. Here’s a really uplifting article to finish off the week! No way in hell will this ever be discussed on CNN, MSNBC, or the network news casts.

Donald Trump may be on the path to a landslide re-election win in 2020. Each of the three election models used by Moody’s Analytics to forecast the 2020 election indicates that Donald Trump will likely win the presidential contest. Under two of the models, Trump is forecast to win with more than the 304 electoral college votes he garnered in 2016. Moody’s election forecasts have been very reliable in the past, correctly predicting every election result except 2016. The model under-counted support for Trump because it did not anticipate the increase in voter turnout that shifted the majority vote in crucial states.

Importantly, Moody’s models all predict Trump wins even if the economy dips to multiyear lows by the end of 2020 and the stock market crashes 9 percent. In other words, Trump is expected to win despite a falling stock market and a sagging economy. Moody’s “pocketbook” model looks at three variables: gasoline prices, home prices, and changes in real personal income. Voters tend to see higher gasoline prices as negative, higher home prices, and incomes as positive. Moody’s uses its economic models to predict how these variables will perform in the months leading up to the election.

Turnout could play a big role in the election. If turnout by Democrats and independents voting against Trump is low to average, Trump easily wins under the models. If it climbs to the historical maximum, Trump would lose under the stock market and unemployment models but still win in the pocketbook model.

Read the rest here. No time to get complacent, folks! Gotta stir up your family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues to vote red in 2020 because the future of the Republic depends on it.

Here are the honorable mentions this week:

Here is the short summary of this week’s articles:

  • A poll reports that 32% of black male Americans support President Trump. Trouble for Democrats!
  • Some members of the Democrats’ Star Wars bar scene want to rescind the requirement by HIV-positive people to notify others of their potential exposure to HIV.
  • A great article excerpted from a new book continues to expose the legacy media’s bias against POTUS.
  • Next was some excellent rationale for POTUS’s decision to pull special forces troops off the Turkish-Syrian border.
  • The FBI has been illegally spying BIGLY on unsuspecting Americans. In 2017 alone, the FBI conducted over 3.1 million searches of surveillance data, compared to just 7,500 combined searches by the CIA and NSA.
  • The Trump Doctrine was explained to the consternation of Uniparty globalists and other assorted eternal war supporters.
  • Well, well, well: some Democrat senators were caught dipping their hands into the Ukraine cookie jar, too.
  • Finally, Moody Analytics’ predictions for the 2020 presidential race must have given Democrats a severe case of heartburn. Good!

As usual, there are many other important topics that were being covered in various forms and fashions. There’s a lot happening, including Kurt Volker’s closed-door testimony that destroys the Democrats’ Ukraine narrative. There are many more revelations on the Spygate, FISA abuse, and Ukraine fronts still to go! Who can predict what the next major revelation will be? One thing for sure: there is continuing desperation among cabal members as can be discerned from their continuing public pronunciations (a/k/a hysterical claims). Stay tuned for more!

The end.
