Project Veritas Action Fund released a new video today exposing Lisa Savage, who is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Maine.

Savage was recorded by our journalist admitting that she is in favor of gun confiscation and that she thinks that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders “isn’t radical enough.”

Here are some of the highlights from today’s video:

It’s concerning that a fringe candidate like Savage could help sway such a key Senatorial race.

Due to Maine’s ranked-voting process, which allows voters to rank their candidates in order of their preference, votes that are allocated to Savage could potentially help elect Democrat Sara Gideon to the U.S. Senate.

Here’s how it works: if no candidate garners 50 percent or more of the vote, the candidate finishing last is dropped, but his or her voters are still involved as their second-choice candidate receives those votes.

With all of that being said, anyone who runs for office should respect the U.S. Constitution and Americans’ Second Amendment rights.

With the election being only a day away, our hope is that the public makes an informed decision about what candidates they can trust to secure their basic rights as American citizens.
