As the official results of the 2020 presidential election remain undeclared, the second most important thing on the collective minds of Republicans and Democrats alike is control of the U.S. Senate, which will be determined by two runoff elections in Georgia on January 5. If the Republicans win one or both seats, Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell will remain Majority Leader. If the Democrats win both contests, Minority Leader Chuck Schummer will take McConnell’s job and the Democrats will regain control of the Senate.
