The operative statement is that Mitt Romney “nearly” got booed off the stage. Just as he got “nearly” censored by the Utah GOP party 798-711. Just as Liz Cheney “nearly” got removed from leadership of the GOP party.

Then we have Susan Collins chiming in about the absurd “big tent” nonsense. Sure, every party needs to include those who would oust by impeachment their own party President. What an absurd interview with Jake Tapper on CNN on Sunday. Of course she adds in her support for Liz Cheney. One thing for the Dems, they are prepared not only to support their senile old fool Biden to the death but follow him as he takes them over the cliff. Non dare challenge their leadership Pelosi.

WASHINGTON – Sen. Susan Collins was “appalled” at the treatment fellow Republican Sen. Mitt Romney received Saturday by his state lawmakers, many of whom wanted to punish him for trying to impeach former President Donald Trump.

“We are not a party that is led by just one person,” Collins, R-Maine, said Sunday during an interview with CNN’s “State of the Union” host Jake Tapper. 

Some Republicans in Utah suggested a censure of Romney, R-Utah, for his impeachment vote in January. Romney was one of seven Republicans who voted to convict Trump.

On Saturday, Romney entered the chamber in Utah to a chorus of boos from his fellow lawmakers, but the vote to censure the senator ultimately failed 798-711 in the state GOP convention. 

Does anyone really believe that Liz Cheney will be gone anytime soon? Where have I heard that before. Not unless Wyoming sends her packing, but then again rumbles are out there that she wants to run for President and take on Trump. Good luck with that.
