Kari Lake files formal appeal… Judge refuses to impose sanctions…

Judge Thompson appears to be conflicted in his actions: On the one hand a lack of valid signatures on ballots are not a problem, adding exta ballots in the runbeck count not a problen even though Maricopa County Investigator Honey West stated they were invalid but then some glimmer of truth emerges as he REFUSES sanctions against Lake. In his refusal to sanction Lake infers there is merit to the data and arguments presented and the recording of the court trial brings irrefutable testimony that Arizona laws were broken which will be invaluable on appeal.  Watch the Steve Bannon segment as Kari presents her plan to appeal https://twitter.com/i/status/1607887863877701632

PHOENIX (AP) — A judge has ordered Kari Lake to pay $33,000 in fees for witnesses who helped defend election officials against Lake’s failed challenge of her defeat to Katie Hobbs, but rejected a request for hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees for the attorneys who defended the officials…In an order Tuesday, Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson declined to impose sanctions against Lake and her lawyers, saying Lake’s failure to prove her case doesn’t “equate to a finding that her claims were, or were not, groundless and presented in bad faith.”

The judge appears to be affirming Lake’s case although siding against her suite. We;ll see if the appeals court has any better stones for the truth than Judge Thompson. At least the judge rejected Mark Elias sanctions, in reality a punitive measure for anyone who presents the truth.
