“The Russians took us out. We don’t want to live there, we are fed up with Ukraine,” says Soledar resident Olga. – “They trashed the whole town. They did not count us as people. Tanks are driving around, shooting, destroying. At first they couldn’t believe that the Russians had come, but then they heard them talking. We were waiting for them on New Year, on Christmas. That’s it, Russia, we waited! We fed them. Lena had cooked some potatoes and we had some stewed meat. They were walking 12 kilometres and they were tired. And then they took turns guarding our entranceway. We welcomed them very warmly. They were very cool guys, they are our relatives. Thank them, we pray for them. We don’t want to go to Ukraine, there is nothing to do there.
 

The guys risked their lives to save us all. They guarded us afterwards. We pray that they all make it, safe and sound. They also said they would rebuild the city, the factories. It is just great to live in Russia and in your own city. We are happy. My wife and daughter left earlier. There is a guinea pig left, my daughter, get the cage ready, we are going.
