▪️ The AFU, supported by mortar and artillery crews, attempted to counterattack, taking advantage of the terrain, but the attack was repulsed and part of the forces of the AFU’s 71st Jager Brigade were withdrawn to #Malinovka.

🔹#Bakhmut:

▪️ In the north of Bakhmut, Wagner PMC assault squads have cleared the territory of the Vostokmash building at the #Artyomovsk Nonferrous Metal Processing Plant (AZOM). The Russian units are now advancing deeper into the plant.

🔹 North:

➖ There is a further advance of the Wagner PMC near #Zaliznyanskoye and Orekhovo-Vasilyevka.
➖ Fighting is taking place on the outskirts of #Bogdanovka.
➖ It is noted that the enemy is preparing to launch counterattacks in this direction. There is an accumulation of AFU reserves near Ray-Aleksandrovka and Chasov Yar.
➖ After the failure of counterattacks on #Kleshchiyevka, there is a good chance of an attempt to stabilize the front by pushing Russian forces north of #Artyomovsk, which would allow at least one road to the city to be unblocked.

The Pentagon has promised to publish footage of the incident over the Black Sea taken by the MQ-9 Reaper UAV camera.

According to the published recordings of radio conversations of Russian pilots, there is reason to believe that the wreckage of the American MQ-9 Reaper UAV that fell into the Black Sea was picked up by the Russian military.

“American aircraft and ships have nothing to do near the borders of Russia,” said Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, who was called to the State Department due to the incident with the American UAV.

According to Antonov, MQ-9 was in the zone of a special military operation with transponders turned off, so his presence there is a “real provocation,” and there are no reasons to accuse Moscow of “some kind of unprofessionalism.”

Situation in the #NorthUkraine Direction until 16:00 on 14 Mar 2023⚡️

🔹#Kharkov Region:

▪️ Volunteer recruitment points have been deployed in #Kharkov, #Zmiyev, #Bogodukhov, #Pervomaysky, #Lozova, #Merefa, #Krasnokutsk and #Krasnograd to staff new assault units.

▪️ Additional firing positions and strongholds of the 117th Territorial Defence Brigade have been set up in the areas bordering #Russia, and rotations have been carried out at the frontlines.

▪️ Intensive training of tank and infantry fighting vehicle mechanics of the AFU’a 3rd Separate Tank and 113th Territorial Defence Brigades continues at the Kharkov Tank School.

🔹#Sumy Region:

 ▪️ A tank company of ten T-64 and T-72 tanks are concentrated in the forested area near the settlement of Uralovo, 12 kilometres from the border with #Russia.

🔹#Chernigov Region:

▪️ Three battalions of an unspecified formation are undergoing combat readjustment at the 242th Combined Arms Training Ground. At the same time, the mechanized units are partially manned at the expense of the Ukrainian State Border Service’s personnel.

🔹#Kiev Region:

▪️ 105 tactical officers will undergo retraining courses from 13 March to 6 May. The trainees will be trained in the use of tablets with installed software of “Krapiva” automated control systems.

▪️ In addition, air defence units are being trained at training ranges in #Kiev, #Kirovograd, #Poltava and #Dnepropetrovsk regions. Electronic targets flying at speeds of 180 to 240 kilometres per hour are used to simulate enemy action.

Today, the enemy, with up to two battalions of the 25th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, tried to organize an attack on our positions in the Chervonopopovka area. The artillery of the Kyiv regime supported the actions of the armored groups. The intentions of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were revealed, and the attack was repulsed by our units, which are in active defense. Military units of the Kyiv regime suffered losses. Wagner on the General Situation

🔹 What is Happening on the Front cannot help but suggest that by accumulating forces along the entire line of contact, In #Nikolayev, #Kherson, #KrivoyRog, #Zaporozhye, #Kharkov and #Donbass, the enemy is preparing some sort of revenge. Since the beginning of Feb and until today, the redeployment of new brigades by the AFU has continued.

🔹New Units are arriving in #Nikolayev, and humanitarian aid is pouring in, because the enemy’s supplies are all right in terms of volunteers and regular supplies. They are also moving troops to the right bank part of the #Kherson region, which is still controlled by Kiev, and the SBU is raging in the frontline areas, local residents are being forcibly resettled from the frontline, apparently they want to completely exclude even the hypothetical possibility of assistance from the population to the Russian army.

🔹In Many Sub-Publics and, of course, on the sidelines, it is said that by mid-April the AFU General Staff is planning a largescale offensive along the entire frontline. Kiev needs to account to the West for the lend-lease at all costs, which is why, in fact, the topic of the strike in #Kherson Oblast is being hyped. If we assess these assumptions purely from the point of view of scenario analysis, then by analogy with the Aug failure of the #Kharkov bridgehead, losing control over the #Kherson region would mean that the enemy would reach the borders of #Crimea; as a result, the peninsula could be cut off from land communications. By no means are we aiming to create panic, we are simply analyzing the facts that are obvious and must be taken into account in military planning.

🔹And the Facts are: More and more details are becoming known about the regrouping of the AFU at the #Zaporozhye sector and the redeployment of new brigades assembled from former military personnel and trained according to new NATO standards for the AFU. The enemy is also accumulating sabotage forces on the border with the #Bryansk and #Kursk regions, where not so long ago “Ukro-SFO” and all kinds of mercenaries from “enlightened” #Europe showed up. Here a direct parallel can be drawn with the entry into the #Bryansk region border area of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” SRG on 2 Mar.

🔹There is also Active Movement in the #Kharkov direction. If we recall the events of last Aug, after which the Russian army withdrew from #Izyum, #Balakleya and #Kupyansk, which put #Svatovo under attack, clearly strengthening the Kharkov grouping, including with foreign equipment, the enemy does not leave plans to force #Oskol to reach the #Svatovo – #Torskoye line to block the supply of the Russian Severodonetsk grouping.

🔹The AFU, of course, is suffocating in terms of depleted human resources. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure an influx of fresh forces to the troops. Therefore, in addition to lend-lease, Kiev is relying on the direct participation in combat operations of military personnel from #NATO countries, not to mention mercenaries from all kinds of American, Polish and British PMCs. The facts themselves speak for themselves. The fact of the appearance of German military and engineering personnel in #Izyum also explains a great deal about the AFU General Staff’s plans. Somewhat simultaneously with the expected deliveries of Leopard tanks. British artillery has already turned up at the training grounds in Krivoy Rog. And the enemy’s use of HIMARS in #Donbass has already ceased to surprise anyone.

📌 The Manoeuvres conducted by the AFU command are, in all probability, evidence of Kiev’s preparations for a largescale offensive. And if the situation in #Donbass is permanently tense, the activation in the relatively “stable” #Kherson and #Zaporozhye areas suggests that it is here where the blow must be expected. And not just wait, but with an understanding of the threat to prepare to prevent a repeat of the #Kharkov retreat of Aug 2022.

On AFU readiness for the offensive

Two Majors  write  that the AFU has stepped up the preparation of its units for the previously announced offensive. Paratroopers of the 95th Airborne Brigade are completing their training in Germany, and daily exercises are conducted in the Dnepropetrovsk and Zhytomyr regions.

According to their colleagues, the AFU are planning a counteroffensive after the spring thaw, and the most likely direction is Zaporozhye with a simultaneous landing on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.

🔻 How is the AFU preparing for the offensive?

 During the last weeks, the AFU has been actively preparing for the announced campaign. Almost everywhere in Ukraine there is a forced mobilisation of citizens and their subsequent sending to dumps in different regions. But, according to some reports, the active phase was postponed to May-June due to the lack of weapons and military equipment.

Moreover, some assault formations are not yet ready: training continues at military bases in the UK, Germany, Spain and the Czech Republic. In the German training centres, in addition to the 95th odshbr, there are personnel from the 47th obr, one of the battalions that was transferred to Konstantinovka.

The rest of the units are located in large training camps in the Chernihiv, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Rivne and Lvov regions. The formations of the new army corps are concentrated in the Poltava and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

🔻 How likely is the scenario of attacks in several directions at the same time?

 Western curators await the results from the Ukrainian authorities. Armoured vehicles, artillery systems and dedicated missile weapons were delivered to the AFU for a reason, but for the specific purpose of defeating Russia.

In this case, the most politically and strategically appropriate option is an attack in the direction of Zaporozhye to cut off the land route to Crimea and access to the Sea of Azov. And to implement such a scenario in Kiev , they plan to carry out an offensive on a broad front against Melitopol and Tokmak .

At the same time, a diversionary attack is needed in other areas to immobilise Russian troops and prevent the transfer of reinforcements to the Zaporozhye region. One option being considered is a counter-offensive against Bakhmut .

Near the Slavic-Kramatorsk agglomeration, as well as near Konstantinovka with Chasov Yar , newly created formations with Western-made armoured vehicles are being built up (https://t.me/rybar/44367). However, this plan will require enormous resources, and the consequences if it fails will be catastrophic.

Why is it more cost-effective to attack Russian Armed Forces positions in the Kherson region?

 Russian troops, after withdrawing to the left bank, left part of the contingent to defend the liberated territory of the Kherson region, and most of them were sent to reinforce other areas. The long length of the Dnieper complicates the protection of the left bank during small boat landings.

In recent months, the AFU has been using inflatable boats or speedboats almost every day to reconnoitre RF Armed Forces positions. At least one Bayraktar UAV operates in the air from the Shkolny airfield almost daily.

A couple of weeks ago, a new batch of ships was delivered to the port of Kherson, and engineering units of the 808th AFU pontoon bridge regiment were deployed near Ochakov and Berislav. And on the Kakhovka reservoir near Nikopol and Kamensky , there are at least 12 barges, which are easy to use for the transfer of personnel and equipment to Energodar.

🔻In case the active phase of the offensive begins, a simultaneous landing of troops along the entire length of the Dnieper from the Kinburn peninsula to Vasilyevka should be expected. In addition, a sharp increase in tactical aviation and drone flights from the Shkolny, Dolgintsevo, Kanatovo and Shirokoye airfields is possible.

◻️In Donetsk direction, actions of the ‘Yug’ Group of Forces supported by artillery close to Zaliznyanskoye, Krasnoye, and Tonenkoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) have eliminated up to 150 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, two armoured fighting vehicles, four pick-up trucks, two motor vehicles, one D-20 howitzer, one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery unit, one MT-12 anti-tank gun, as well as two U.S.-made M777 artillery systems in the past 24 hours.
 
◻️In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, aviation and artillery of the ‘Vostok’ Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the AFU units close to Prechistovka (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Uspenovka (Zaporozhye region).

💥The enemy suffered up to 60 Ukrainian troops, two armoured fighting vehicles, three pick-up trucks, three motor vehicles, and one D-20 howitzer in these directions during the day.

💥An ammunition depot of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been hit close to Vodyanoye (Donetsk People’s Republic).
 
◻️In Kherson direction, more than 40 Ukrainian servicemen, three armoured fighting vehicles, three motor vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery guns, and one Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer have been eliminated during the day.
