A series of explosions in Kharkov. About five/six. Most likely the Iskanders arrived.
Explosions are also reported in Zaporozhye, Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Apparently, the Iskanders are again hitting the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the offensive .

According to preliminary data, in the Dnipropetrovsk region there are several dozens of logistics hubs and places of temporary deployment of the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities reported strong arrivals in the village of Mezhirich, Pavlograd region.

These facts will force Russia to end hostilities by making a “goodwill gesture”.

According to reports from the field , the enemy has completed preparations for offensive operations in the Zaporozhye and Kherson directions.

Units of at least two army corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are concentrated in the operational rear at a distance necessary to minimize losses from Russian aviation and artillery strikes, however, allowing them to quickly advance for an offensive.

It is assumed that the main directions of the breakthrough of the mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be the Zaporozhye region from Orekhov towards Melitopol with the simultaneous forcing of the Dnieper by the forces of special forces and marines. The emerging configuration at the front suggests that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be ready to attack in the coming days.

The RF Armed Forces continue the special military operation.

◽️ In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces have engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) close to Novoselovskoye, Stelmakhovka (LPR), and Sinkova (Kharkov region).

◽️ In addition, Russian troops disrupted actions of 2 Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups near Sinkovka and Berestovoye (Kharkov region).

💥 Up to 55 Ukrainian troops, 3 tanks, 5 armoured fighting vehicles, 7 motor vehicles, and 1 D-30 howitzer have been destroyed during the day in this direction.

◽️ In Krasny Liman direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Tsentr Group of Forces have hit units of the enemy close to Chervonaya Dibrova, (LPR), Terny, Torskoye, and Serebryanka (DPR).

💥 The enemy has suffered losses of over 70 troops, 3 armoured fighting vehicles, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and 2 D-20 howitzers in this direction in the past 24 hours.

◽️ In Donetsk direction, assault squads continued their offensive in the west part of the city of Artyomovsk (DPR). The Airborne Troops supported them and paralysed AFU units on the flanks.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation and artillery of the Yug Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the units of the AFU close to Krasnoye, Bogdanovka, Stupochki, and Chasov Yar (DPR). Aircraft made 5 sorties in the area, and Missile Troops and Artillery completed 69 firing missions in support of the troops.

💥 The enemy has suffered losses of over 380 troops and mercenaries, 1 tank, 4 armoured fighting vehicles, 6 motor vehicles, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and 2 D-20 and D-30 howitzers in the past 24 hours.

◽️ Moreover, 2 ammunition depots of the 54th Mechanised Brigade and 80th Air Assault Brigade of the AFU has been hit close to Verkhekamenskoye and Kramatorsk (DPR).

◽️ In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, air strikes and artillery of the Vostok Group of Forces have engaged the AFU units in the areas of Ugledar, Shevchenko, Vremevka (DPR), Malinovka, Marfopol, Belogorye, and Novodanilovka (Zaporozhye region).

◽️ Up to 70 troops, 3 armoured fighting vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, and 1 D-20 howitzer has been neutralised in these directions during the day.

◽️ Moreover, two ammunition depots of the 72nd Mechanised Brigade and 128th Mountain Assault Brigade of the AFU have been hit close to Vodyanoye and Kirovo (Zaporozhye region).

◽️ In Kherson direction, Russian troops have neutralised over 50 troops, 7 motor vehicles, and 1 Msta-B howitzer during the day.

💥 Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Russian Group of Forces have engaged 96 AFU artillery units, manpower, and hardware in 107 areas during the day.

◽️ A depot with weapons and military hardware of an AFU group has been hit near Balakleya (Kharkov region).

💥 Moreover, 15 Ukrainian UAVs have been shot down close to Novovodyanoye, Kremennaya (LPR), Kirillovka, Petrovskoye, Yegorovka (DPR), Vasiliyevka (Zaporozhye region), and Peschanovka (Kherson region).

Bakhmut Night: After more battles for positions and only isolated attacks during the day, Wagner went on the offensive again in the dark. They are again actively storming the enemy positions at these moments. In the southern part of the high rise Buildings they try to reach the Peremoha cinema. Active heavy fighting within the Citidal area also takes place.
To the NW, the Olympic school and UA’s last line of defense is being actively stormed.

#Chronicle of the Special Military Operation for 8 May 2023⚡️

💥 Russian Troops struck Enemy Targets near #Kharkov, #Dnepropetrovsk and #Zaporozhye overnight. Earlier the RF Armed Forces had hit targets in #Odessa, #Kiev, #Kramatorsk and #Slavyansk, as well as in #Vinnitsya, #Chernigov and #Zhitomir regions.

🔹#Russia’s Border Areas:

▪️ In the #Belgorod Oblast, in Valuysky urban district, air defence crews shot down an enemy missile and a UAV. According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or damage.

▪️ The Ukrainian terrorists shelled residential buildings and infrastructure in #Spodaryushino, #Kaznacheyevka, #Biryuch, #Leonovka, #Krasnoye, #Pankov and #Shebekino. In the latter, at least five civilians were injured.

🔹#Starobelsk (#Svatovo) Direction:

▪️ The situation on the front has not changed significantly, with both sides engaged in mutual reconnaissance and artillery duels.

▪️ At #Molodezhnoye settlement, Ukrainian terrorists fired one rocket from HIMARS, no damage or casualties were reported.

🔹#Soledar (#Bakhmut) Direction:

▪️ In #Bakhmut, the Wagner PMC assault squads are engaged in intense fighting near the post office on Chernyakhovsky Street.
➖ Southwards, Russian troops continue advancing towards the Pobeda Cinema west of Chaykovsky Street.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ North of #Avdeyevka, positional fighting continues at the H20 road near #Novobakhmutovka.

▪️ Southwestwards, Russian troops strike at enemy strongholds on the approaches to #Severnoye.

▪️ In the #Donetsk agglomeration, the Ukrainian terrorists hit populated areas. In the capital of the DPR, residential houses, cars and a gas pipeline in the Kievsky district came under fire, among other things.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ The situation has not changed significantly. Ukrainian formations continue to amass forces, with artillery and aviation of the RF Armed Forces working on detected enemy points.

▪️ At the #Zaporozhye NPP, the operation of power units was suspended in order to avoid Ukrainian provocations.

🔹#Kherson Direction on #SouthFront:
 
▪️ Artillery is active on both sides amidst the announced AFU offensive.

▪️ Reports are coming in from Ukrainian-controlled right bank of #Dnieper about movement of Ukrainian forces’ personnel and equipment.

🔸Political and other Events:

▪️ #Croatia has transferred 9of the 14 Mi-8 helicopters planned for the needs of the AFU, which were written off in the country due to the exhaustion of the operational resource.

▪️ Zelensky has signed a decree according to which 9 May is now celebrated as Europe Day in #Ukraine instead of Victory Day.

▪️ Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak has reported that the AFU received ten Polish MiG-29s.

▪️ Due to a strike by Polish carriers, a queue of three thousand Ukrainian trucks has piled up at the Jagodzyn-Dorogusk border crossing point, unable to enter #Poland.

▪️ Ukraine receives another loan from the World Bank for 189m euros to pay salaries to state employees.
