Zelenskyy welcomes the ‘news we’ve been waiting for’
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has welcomed what he called “the news we have been waiting for” from troops fighting in and around the shattered eastern city of Bakhmut.

◽️Yesterday, the units of the RF Armed Forces and the Border Guard Service have thwarted an attempt by 2 Ukrainian terrorist Groups to enter Belgorod region close to Novaya Tavolzhanka (Belgorod region).

◽️At around 13:00, under the cover of heavy shelling of civilian facilities, the terrorists attempted to cross the Seversky Donets River and land on the outskirts of Novaya Tavolzhanka.

⚔️ The Situation on the Fronts over the past Day:

🔹#Svatovo – #Kremennaya Direction:

▪️ The Russian army continues to expand its bridgehead on the #Oskol River near #Masyutovka and #Dvurechnaya. There is fierce fighting in #Novoselovskoye, as well as an assault on #Belogorovka supported by artillery and aviation.

🔹#Artyomovsk (#Bakhmut) Sector:

▪️ There is information about attempts (https://t.me/boris_rozhin/88031) by the AFU to break the front line near #Bakhmut (#Artyomovsk). The militants attacked near #Soledar, #Kleshchiyevka and #Berkhovka. As a result, heavy fighting ensued, our forces held their positions and destroyed several units of enemy armoured vehicles with return fire.

🔹#Donetsk Direction:

➖ In the #Avdeyevka sector, our fighters continue to dislodge militants from fortified positions to cover #Avdeyevka, but there have been no major changes during the day.
➖ In #Maryinka, Russian forces successfully storm the western outskirts.

🔹#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ The AFU attacked in the direction of #Novodonetskoye, where they managed to push back our positions near the village. There was also fighting near #Novodarovka and #Rovonopol. #Neskuchnoye and #Storozhevoye also came under attack, but the enemy attacks were timely repelled by Russian marines.

💥 An Air Defence System destroyed (https://t.me/readovkanews/60186) an Ukrainian Su-25 covering the landing of an enemy landing in #Kherson region.

⚡️ In the area of #Yanzhulovka, #Chernigov Region, the Russian army detected an Ukrainian SRG advancing towards the border with #Russia. The saboteurs were  eventually hit (https://t.me/readovkanews/60163) by a kamikaze drone launched by our fighters.

Lavrov accused the West of trying to open a second and third fronts against Russia

The West is constantly looking for additional directions where it is possible to open a second and third fronts against Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“The West is constantly looking for additional directions from which to annoy the Russian Federation, to open the second and third fronts. Many political scientists and some politicians have already openly stated the goal of dismemberment of the Russian Federation,” Lavrov said during a visit to the 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan.

He noted that Central Asia was secretly declared one of such fronts along with Transcaucasia.
