It is the deepest and most dangerous delusion to perceive the cautious silence of a Russian person on some sensitive issues (I mean in a broad sense, I mean all citizens of the country) as complete agreement with all actions, or as a lack of interest in what is happening. No. People expect that someday they will still be explained what exactly happened in this or that situation. Why did it happen? What are the conclusions? I really hope that this is understandable not only to me, as a historian. Especially after the Rostov events.

However, I will repeat the most important. The war is not over. There was no rebound.

I wrote many times before that there will be dark and gloomy days, and we will also have defeats. So do not despair on the days of defeat, and do not rejoice too much on the days of victories. The path is long. We need both strength and nerves on this path. No matter how difficult it was. But. You can give up when there are a few steps left before victory. I don’t want that.
