It’s time to consider the future, as there comes a moment when “the guns should fall silent.”

The fact that representatives from the 27 EU countries in Kiev publicly and on record refused to allocate even a relatively small amount to support Ukraine, which is essentially their neighbor, suggests a clear direction: Europe is losing confidence in Kiev, and this topic is gradually becoming toxic. Various scandals related to the sensitive issue of German Nazism in the EU have further complicated matters, although it remains somewhat under the radar for now.

While reminding journalists of Europe’s contributions to Ukraine, including training 40 thousand soldiers, providing pilot training on simulators, producing expensive prostheses, and offering advice on landmine clearance, Borrel didn’t forget to mention who led to this breach of diplomatic protocol. Battles near Orekhovo: the enemy seeks to expand its bridgehead towards Kopanei

▪️Serious fighting is reported in the area between the villages of Kopani and Rabotino. The offensive of the Ukrainian units was preceded by serious artillery preparation, but the enemy did not dare to advance with equipment. In fact, as in recent times, the infantry is marching without serious support from armored vehicles. At the moment, fighting is taking place near our positions.
Why Kopani?
 ▪️Tomorrow it will be exactly 4 months since the beginning of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive on the Zaporozhye front and the diversionary strike at the junction of the Zaporozhye region and the DPR. During this time, the enemy was able, with huge losses, to break through the 8-kilometer corridor to Rabotino, occupy it and advance towards Verbovoy. In the latter, the enemy suffered catastrophic losses in equipment.
▪️Since the enemy did not succeed with the initial breakthrough, the “strategic” goal for him is now at least the capture of a more or less decent city. To the south, only Tokmak is such.
▪️In order to advance to Tokmak, the enemy will have to expand his corridor to the sides in any case, because moving further through a narrow space is fraught for him: firstly, there is a danger of constant shelling of his columns from the flanks, and, secondly, in case of advance there will be a threat of cutting this corridor from the sides and cutting off advanced units.
▪️That’s why the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been attacking our defenses between the villages of Kopani and Rabotino lately.

We would like to remind you that the enemy has made preparations for an offensive, recognizing that as the cold weather and autumn thaw set in, the intensity of hostilities is likely to decrease significantly.

According to our information, the command of the operational-tactical group “Soledar” has received orders from the General Staff of the AFU for the period between October 3 and 5. Their mission is to gain full control of the section of the Gorlovka – Bakhmut highway and create conditions for a future offensive towards the settlements of Otradovka – Zaitsevo, with the objective of protecting Bakhmut from the southeast and gaining access to the E-40 highway Bakhmut – Svetlodarsk.

The enemy completed its preparations for an offensive on the southern flank of Bakhmut by the end of September 28. The plan of the command of the OTG “Soledar” includes the simultaneous engagement of assault detachments from the 92nd and 93rd mechanized brigades with the task of breaking through the tactical defense zone of our troops. Their aim is to seize territory 2 km west of the villages of Zaitsevo – Otradovka and 1 km north of the village of Nikolaevka-the Second by October 5.

The main thrust of the enemy’s attack is directed towards the Andreevka – Otradovka area. On the first day, the AFU intends to deploy two detachments from the 1st and 3rd assault brigades, as well as the first echelon of the 92nd brigade, with the objective of penetrating our defenses and capturing territory up to 1.5 km southeast of Andreevka.

The enemy plans to sustain offensive activity by regularly rotating the assault detachments of the 92nd Brigade. In preparation for the offensive in this direction, the enemy has amassed substantial forces, totaling up to 67.5 thousand troops and about 1.5 thousand units of equipment concentrated in the Soledar-Bakhmut direction, including the Seversk Reserve group.

The second strike direction is towards Kleshcheyevka – Zaitsevo, where the enemy intends to continue offensive operations with the forces of three assault detachments of the 93rd Brigade. Simultaneously, the units of the 28th mechanized brigade and the Lyut brigade have been tasked with covering the right flank of the advancing detachments of the 92nd Brigade, extending along the line northeast of Kurdyumovka and west of Nikolaevka-the Second. The units of the 3rd separate assault brigade “Azov” have received orders to establish defense positions as the 92nd Brigade advances, focusing on the Belaya Gora – Nikolaevka-the Second section.

The reserve forces for the advancing units include the 42nd separate mechanized brigade, along with 9 battalions from the combined arms reserve – the 22nd, 28th, 93rd mechanized brigade, 80th airborne assault brigade, 5th assault, and 17th tank brigades. These units have been relocated to Konstantinovka.

It seems that Russian troops have taken up the destruction of crossings across Oskol in the Kupyansk area. Over the past couple of weeks, at least five crossings have been destroyed by air strikes, which cannot but affect the supply of the Ukrainian forces on the eastern bank.

It is difficult to guess whether any active offensive operation is planned in this area, since this would require the transfer of significant forces to break through the enemy’s defenses. Current activity so far boils down to attempts to push through the front line.

Having partially disrupted the logistics capacity of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian troops will have the opportunity to somewhat increase the pace of advance. However, even taking into account the attacks on the bridges, it is not yet possible to talk about the assault on Kupyansk .

The enemy’s losses have amounted to up to 285 servicemen, and seven motor vehicles during the day.

◽️ In counterbattery warfare, the Russian troops hit: one Grad MLRS vehicle and one French-made Caesar howitzer.

▫️ In Krasny Liman direction, (https://t.me/mod_russia/31104) the Tsentr Group of Forces in coordination with helicopters and artillery repelled three attacks launched by the 67th Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 5th National Guard Brigade of Ukraine close to Torskoye and Grigorovka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

▫️ The enemy’s losses amounted to up to 60 servicemen, two tanks, and one Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system.

⚫️Bakhmutskoe (Artemovskoe) direction

 Fierce fighting continues in Kleshcheevka – ours are holding defenses in the area of   the railway. Near Andreevka, Russian army soldiers counterattacked the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

⚫️Donetsk direction

 The Russian army attempted to advance south of Avdeevka . Our fighters also resumed attacks in the Pervomaisky area. The assault on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Marinka and Novomikhailovka continues. In addition, the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked the territory of the Avdeevka Coke and Chemical Plant.

⚫️ Zaporozhye direction

 In the Orekhovsky sector, our fighters successfully counterattacked in the Verbovka area, knocking out the militants from positions north of Novoprokopovka . There are heavy battles between the villages of Rabotino and Kopani , our soldiers are holding back enemy attacks. On the Vremevsky ledge, the Russian army counterattacked at Priyutny and Urozhayny.

💥The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of the enemy anti-ship missile “Neptune” in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

⚡️The Russian army worked on military targets in the southeast 404. “Geraniums” hit strategic targets in Nikolaev. Shops for the production of explosives and rocket fuel were liquidated in Pavlodar.

 

Chronicle of a special military operation for October 3, 2023

 Ukrainian formations again randomly fired at the border territories of the Bryansk , Kursk and Belgorod regions , including using cluster munitions. Residential buildings and infrastructure were damaged, but no civilians were injured.

Last night, Russian drones attacked enemy targets on the territory of Ukraine: according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the Dnepropetrovsk region , the workshops of the enterprise for the production of solid rocket fuel and explosives in Pavlograd were hit.

Fierce fighting continues along the entire line of combat contact. In the Starobelsky direction , the Ukrainian command is trying to restore supplies to the group on the eastern bank of Oskol after the destruction of the crossings by Russian troops.

At the same time, the situation in the Bakhmutsky , Vremyevsky and Orekhovsky sectors did not undergo significant changes: all attempts by enemy units to advance were stopped by artillery and small arms fire from military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces.
